Tummy Tuck in Dominican Republic or Indianapolis?

Had my 3rd & FINAL Consulatation with Indy Surgeons...

Well, I figured that by seeing 3 different surgeons in Indy, I would feel a little more comfortable and informed with making a decision, but its quite the opposite now. ALL 3 surgeons had different outcomes & opinions on the procedure. The first 2 offered back and flank LIPO, where the 3rd told me that I did not have enough fat to LIPO & to do so would only produce more loose skin (I did lose another 7 lbs by the time I saw him). one said I should be off my meds (Nuva Ring and spironolactone) for 1-2 months before the procedure, where the other 2 surgeons said stay on your meds and Lovenox (blood thinner) would be added for a week after surgery. 2 said drains in and the other said it would be drainless... Ay yi yi... all different styles- yet I dont feel that any of the surgeons are incorrect in their opinion- just differences. So I have emailed & sent pictures to 2 surgeons in the Dominican Republic that Im interested in and currently waiting a reply.... I will need to make a decision within the next week or so as October is quickly approaching!!!

Hello, I am writing to gain the thoughts and...

Hello,
I am writing to gain the thoughts and opinions of having TT and BBL surgery outside of the United States in the Dominican Republic. Just a quick BIO:
I'm 28, mother of 3 (9-6-2 yr old), Through dieting and calorie counting, I lost close to 100 lbs over 2 years back in 2008-2010 (240lbs down to 145lbs). I'm currently 5'4, 155lbs and have a TON of loose skin. Ive been wanting a TT for a while now, and finally have the means and opportunity to have it done, so I'm jumping on it!
I have been doing lots of research and had originally been interested in a High Lateral Tension Abdominoplasty or a TT thats uses a technique with Progressive Tension Suturing (Quilting). I have found a few surgeons in Indy that offer the procedure and have found the cost to run between $7-$10,000 (with upper back and flank Lipo). I then looked into Sx in DR and found that the price and results are WAY better than what I had been seeing. (Price for both a TT and BBL run $2-$4,500)The waist circumferences are so much smaller, the scar lines are very very low, and the shaping and curves appears much more smoother and symmetrical. Ive weighed many of the Pros and Cons and realize that with a DR surgery, follow up care will be slim to none once Im back in the States, which is slightly discouraging just because of the potential for complications and infection.
Not to sound arrogant or toot my own horn, but just to give you all ends: Im a nurse, have been for 8 years, very experienced in wound care, and I'm currently in progress of completing my Family Nurse Practitioner Program. I think with my background and experience, I should be able to handle most issues on my own (God forbid any serious complications). I'm not fluent in Spanish, but understand most of it and can speak fairly well ( I may be in the wrong verb tense though, lol).
I have taken time off this coming October to have this procedure done. I only would be able to be off work for a total of 2 weeks, but my job does not require any heavy lifting (just alot of walking and getting up and down). Is it realistic to think that I will be well enough to go back to work 5 days a week after both a TT and BBL? I would appreciate any thoughts, questions, or concerns as they help give me different perspectives and views. I will post body pics as soon as I get to my home computer so you can get a visual of how BADLY I need this TT and BBL!!! Thanks for taking the time to stop by and read about my journey! I will continue to post follow ups as well as my final decision on a surgeon and my journey throught the procedure.
