4 week post-op pics

I thought I'd post my latest before & after pics. The swelling has gone down quite a lot, and my breasts are falling into a more natural position. I haven't gone bra shopping again, so I don't know my size. Not a single person has noticed that I had a reduction, so that's kind of a bummer, but it is what it is. I'm feeling well and only have a slight bit of tenderness.

Before & After

These after pics are 8 days post-op. I am lifted nicely, but not reduced nearly enough. I am wearing the same bra in each picture.

I've always wanted a reduction, but I would never...

I've always wanted a reduction, but I would never have been able to justify the expense, and I didn't think my health insurance would pay for it. I'm a 34H, and over the years, I had increasing problems with pain in my neck, shoulders, and back. Driving long distances and working at the computer were especially painful. Sometimes I went to the chiropractor when it was severe, but mostly my sweet husband would massage the cramping muscles. After the birth of our first grandchild last year, I realized that my neck and back problems could interfere with my ability to play with her. So, I talked to my orthopedist and he had me go through a course of physical therapy. The stretching exercises were helpful but didn't ultimately stop the pain. So, I made an appointment with a PS, he submitted the surgery to my insurance company, they approved it, and I had my reduction on 7/21, 5 days ago. I am disappointed that my PS only took 460 grams (1 lb) from each breast. I had a bleed in my right breast several hours after surgery, and it's very black and blue now. I think it's possible that I have a hematoma. My follow up with the PS is tomorrow, so we shall see!
