So today I saw my PCP (Primary Care Physician) for a follow up visit. I am so glad to report that I am feeling better than even a week ago. We are almost certain my response is all related to the Botox injections. My eyebrows are actually much better and my right eyelid does not feel as heavy as it initially did. I am also happy to report my headaches have improved quite a bit making a difference in my daily life. I have had 3 light headaches in 3 weeks that were easy to manage. Just two days ago I had a persistent headache that forced me to take half of a Relpax after an indocin but the headache finally went away but didn't ruin my day. If there were no side effects involved with the injections I would probably do this again but I won't. In my opinion it is too risky to play with my "nerves". I still have a slight weakness on the left side of my throat that runs up to my ear canal but this is not a constant problem. I hope this wears off more and more as the days pass. I only wish you all out there the best outcome for your side effects and headaches.

Well as a new member of the migraine sisterhood I wanted to post my review about this blog. I have to thank the person(s) that established this blog so that many of us can go and read serious, intellegent posting regarding everyone's private experiences post receiving Botox injections for our headaches and other pain. I found the blog very helpful and it provided me a little relief learning that I am not alone. I must say that had I found this blod prior to agreeing to the injections I would NOT have done it. I have to wonder if the injections triggered the possible Bell's Palsy diagnosis I am dealing with at this time. I am praying that it is all a result of the Botox and my face be back to normal after the Botox wears off. I told my neurologist about this website/blog and encouraged her to read some of the side effects people are experiencing. My personal goal is to be rid of the facial weakness and improving my intense headaches. Be careful what yhou wish for and by all means do your research. The second hand chances is that many times we make decisions based on third party testimonials.

I have been with my neurologist for many years and have been a little disappointed in the lack of commitment during this negative time in my migraine filled life. I signed up for this and as a medical professional am aware these things can happen. However, I don't like being "brushed off" at this time and only trying to understand what may be happening. I don't blame my doctor and this is important to me for her to know this.
