A New Beginning! - Hollywood, FL

So!!!!! My sugery was yesterday June 3,2015 which neans i am now one day post-op. WHAT an experience. My starting weight was 262 and after the 7 day liquid diet i got down to 249. Whoop Whoop!!! The staff here at Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood fl and my surgeon Dr. Brett Cohen were PHENOMENAL from start to finish. I went into surgery at 12 noon and was fully awake by 4 pm. Not able to urinate until i was "threatened" with a catheterization and WALLAH! MAGIC LOL. I was up walking around by 10pm and i.must say that REALLY helped for the gas pain. Well, that and the dilaudid of course. Just able to start clear liquids today around 4 pm. Tried drinking straight from the cup which was a MAJOR fail. so i was given those little one ounce medicince cups to help me keep better track of my intake. Doctor came to check me out and i will be good to go at 7pm. i am ecstatic about the journey that is ahead of me!! i am going to work this tool that i was given to its full capacity! i thank God for this opportunity and i see wonderful things ahead of me. So.... my surgery is finally 1week from tomorrow!! i start my 7 day liquid diet tomorrow as well. im so ashamed to say that in anticipation for this diet i helped my self to a few goodies. But alas my mind is set to do this thing!!!! i am motivated and ready!!! i can and WILL do this!!!!

i am having a vsg done on June 3, 2015. i am so excited and worried at the same time. this will be a life changing experience . ive been researching this for YEARS now im finally able to do it. i have been overweight since i can remember. i am now 25 with two children i have to be here for so this is not only for me, but for my little boys whom i love dearly. wish me luck! but i know Gods got this
