six week follow up

My appointment was Oct. 24Th. I think it went well. My doctor told me that I may begin scar therapy. She suggested silicone strips as a first choice, paper tape as a second choice and lotions as a third choice. So silicone it is. Also she suggested that I stick to small meals to avoid the top of my stomach expanding. As for right now I still havent weighted myself but I have lost one size in pants and two sizes in dresses.

I knew that I wanted a tummy tuck after giving birth to my first son 8 yrs ago. I went a tiny 110lbs. to a whopping 165lbs. After having two more just like him. I was left with an extra 35lbs., extra skin and stretch marks up the wazoo. I told my husband that I didnt see myself with the body I had after kids. So he told me if I worked out and ate well for two years I could get it done. I lost about 15lbs. With diet and exercise. I just had my surgery a little over a month ago and im still not 100% but so far I am loving my results. About 95% of my stretch marks are gone. I have no overlapping belly and I have lost 2 pant sizes. I have not weighed myself yet because of swelling. As for my experience with surgery, I think it went extremely well. The first day sucked, I experienced a lot of nausea from anistia so I just slept. Day two wad much better. I could eat and get a sponge bath courtesy of my wonderful husband. Every day was better. I only took my pain meds for 4 days. I was out of bed on my own wiyhim 3 days, just to use the bathroom but still. I had my drain out by day 9. I went back to work on week 4, on light duty still wearing the compression garment. Oh well. Things that totally sucked, I didnt expect, and no one warned me about. 1. My garment was crotchless so a lot of swelling and bruising pulled towards my vagina. My vajayjay looked like busted grape for the first week or so. Eww. 2. Sleeping in a 45ยท angle for three weeks sucks. Major kink in my neck. 3. Wearing the garment is already getting on my last nerve after week five. 4.laughing coughing, sneezing, all hurts for about 3 weeks. 5. Stool stofteners help so much the first week. 6. Having someone stay with you for the first week is a must.
