I broke my nose when I was 12 and it became crooked and droopy. Not to mention it left me with a huge dorsal hump and breathing problems. I spoke to my friend about rhinoplasty because her entire family has gotten a procedure done and she referred me to Susan L. Chobanian. She changed my life! The hardest part of the whole process was admitting to myself that I was unhappy with my nose and deciding that I was really ready to make a change. As I am only 17 I had to speak with my parents about going through with the whole process. After hours of them trying to convince me not to, they finally agreed. I called Dr. Chobanian in October and my consultation was scheduled for the following week.
As soon as Dr. Chobanian saw me, she knew exactly what she could do with my nose. I showed her some pictures and she told me which ones would go well with my face and how she could alter them to fit my face better. She took photos and scheduled my next appointment.
During the following appointment we discussed the photos, she drew what my nose would look like, and then we scheduled a surgery date and I was set.
On December 22 I woke up, went to the surgery center, spoke to the anesthesiologist, and spoke with Dr. Chobanian about the procedure and answer any last minute questions I had. I then went off to surgery and that was that!
