Im 25, 5'3" and 170 lbs. 2 years ago I weighed around 120-125. I feel like one day I woke up and I was in someone else's body. Over the course of the past 2 months, I think I've been asked my "due date" at least once a week.
I feel like I should be enjoying life in my young age, and honestly i have just been feeling so self concious about my weight gain I find myself not having a good time when i should be. So instead of complaining about it, I took a huge step and decided to do something about it. First, i obtained a membership at my local gym. However, as many say, Im not seeing the results I hoped for. Sure, i feel much better, but I also want to look better.
I am getting the "wrap around" service which includes upper and lower abdomen, love handles, and waist area. I believe my option will also include my lovely rolling bra strap area! I wish you could hear the excitement in my voice when i talk about it!
I wasn't going to tell any of my friends about my upcoming procedure, but i decided to let the cat out the bag at the last minute since it is next week and i plan to take a 5 day hiatus. Needless to say, some of them are supportive and some think im out of my mind for making such a commitment.
I feel confindent in my decision and I also cant wait to take photos and post for everyone to see.
I've gotten my labwork done, before photos, and pre/post operative care instructions. I will be taking as many pictures as the site will let me... will be updating soon! Wish me luck!

Im hoping I get the results that I want. Im just a little worried that my tummy is too "hard" and rounded (look at the picture that shows my view when Im seated.) ... I was wondering if maybe part of my troubles are from an over stretched and protruding stomach and not so much from fat?!? I don't know. Im not a doctor so Im going to stop speculating and hope for the best...
I received a call from my Dr's office this afternoon to confirm I started taking my antibiotics (started 2 days prior to procedure.) and to remind me to use the special cleanser tonight in the shower and in the morning before I go.
Im excited and extremely tired, so I am going to get some rest and mentally prepare myself for the morning.
Just realized I have no clue how long this is going to take, so I will prepare a playlist for my ipod...
Wish me luck ladies!
Well ladies and gents, it is finished. i am back...

Let me start by saying Dr. Boutte is one of the friendliest doctors I have ever met. I work in a hospital, so I am with physicians every single day. The facility is beautiful, and there is a television on in the room while the procedure is being performed.
First, I was prepped, had my blood pressure taken, and had more "before" photos taken. Next, Dr. Boutte outlined the areas she was going to work on. The entire time we watched the game show network and engaged in everyday conversation. This helped me keep my mind off of what was happening.
The first part was having the incision made. The numbing shots were not bad at all. I'll be honest, having the IV solution pumped in was the weirdest feeling EVER. Occasionally I felt some stinging and discomfort. But Dr. Boutte stopped any time i seemed too uncomfortable. This took about 30 minutes. Thank goodness I had my ipod to help distract me.
The next part was the laser melting. My eyes were covered for this portion. This felt weird as well. Not painful, but you definitely feel there is something moving inside of you. Not the most comfortable feeling. On my back area on the edge of the outlined area i experienced some pain. I think it would be considered over the kidney region. This was another 30-40 minutes or so.
I completely forgot the laser and suction were 2 different steps. In my head I was rejoicing that the process was over, when I actually had another 40 minutes to go...
Last came the suction... not the most awful thing in the world, but not pleasant either. Once again the area over my kidneys was painful. It almost seemed like i could feel the fat being ripped out in that same area. But Dr. Boutte stopped, pumped some more solution, and gave me shots. This helped greatly. But I've got to be honest, still not pleasant :0 On a scale from 1-10 i would give the discomfort a 5-6. The more short painful moments an 8. But those would only last a few seconds.
I was AMAZED to see how much fat was coming out. 2 (maybe 2.5) huge containers were filled to the brim.
Everyone in the office kept telling me i have "thick skin" which explained the "hardness" of my rounded belly. It also explained why my fat didnt jiggle.
I am SOOOO glad I got this done and I cant wait to see what i look like when i take my shower tomorrow. I looked at myself briefly when i got off the table, and there was a HUGE difference! I cant wait to take pictures and show you all.
Thats it for now, no pain at the moment. Just suffocating slightly from this corset! But im relaxing on a trash bag and towel on the sofa in my living room... :-)
I'll update you guys tomorrow!
I forgot to say that it is true what everyone...

Sitting up in bed and walking too much is slightly painful. The most comfortable position is on my back. Just glad I have started back being able to take Ibuprofen instead of tylenol.
Just check out the pictures. I expect my results to get even better. Im just ready to feel normal again... Eveything feels weird...

The past couple days have been very interesting with the itching and weird numbness of the area around my belly and part of my waist area. I couldn't take the itching so i went and purchased benadryl as instructed by my Dr. It works almost instantly! It also helped me fall asleep when i was restless from the discomfort caused by my garment.
The Garment: I purchased a Body Magic suit thru my office. the first two days were VERY uncomfortable. The process of putting on was worse! On the second day i couldn't take it anymore and removed it so i could wear a softer garment i own for a little while. But now i have gotten more comfortable and am able to keep it on.
It is true what my Dr told me. Once you break in you garment, it is more comfrotable then being garmentless. Walking around without the support of my garment can feel very unpleasant. It almost feels like everything is flopping all over the place without support.
Today I have noticed my tummy feels more firm then it has all the other days, but there is no pain. I don't know if this is a normal part of the complete healing process, but it seems like it so far.
I am quite plealsed so far and will keep u posted!

I have to admit Im 25, and I just purchased my very first body hugging dress! I couldn't believe my eyes when I wore it this past Saturday. My friends were in utter shock. I have always worn pants and a VERY loose shirt when I've hit the town on the weekends.
Dr. Boutte may have created a monster! lol. I plan on setting aside a few extra dollars to treat myself to a few exciting wardrobe pieces that i was not able to wear before...
And Im already trying to figure out what to be for halloween. Im leaning towards something sexier because thats exactly how Im feeling :)
Day by day my tummy is looking even more flat and firm. I finally feel like my skin is "attached" to my body again. The sides of my waist are still a bit tender if i press them, but for the most part I feel GREAT. I just posted a new side pic from this morning.
1 month POV September 27th.

I am officially beginning my 4th week post surgery. I feel great. Weighed in this morning and I am 5 pounds lighter! I couldn't believe it! This little drop has boosted my spirits, so i am slowly developing a healthier eating plan and exercise routine. My goal is to reach 130 pounds by the end of this year. I want to develop into somewhat of a runner.
I really just have to force myself to become active. It seems to work best for me to get up in the mornings and start going for walks/jogs. However, today i plan on actually going back to my gym and doing some stair stepper work. It burns more calories in less time.
During the week I am going to focus on forcing myself to eat breakfast, and lowering my carb intake. I am increasing my veggie intake as well and eating fish and chicken. This will hopefully help me see results as well.
My 1 month post op is next week. I think they are going to tell me what my old measurements were and what my current measurements are. They will also take photos. Can't wait! I will update you all soon.

Yesterday was my greatly anticipated 1 month follow up. They took my measurements and my new photos (I have added them below). Seeing the side-by-side shots is amazing. You really get to see how far you have come.
I intended on adding my measurements, but i left the paper in my wallet... in my car. I will be sure to add that later.
Please check out my pictures!
I went shopping last week for a few more figure hugging items and I was snapped back to reality. This procedure is not MAGICAL. Yes my stomach is much more flat, however, the rest of my body still needs work. I am commited to my healthier eating habits and developing a workout routine.
Prior to my procedure I was 170. After swelling went down i think i lost about 5 lbs. Yesterday I weighed in at 162 lbs. That is an additional 3 pounds. I know the only reason why i have lost the additional 3 lbs is i am trying to be very aware of what i am eating during this time.
My goal is to reach 130 by the end of the year. That would mean 40 lbs total in 4 months. 10 lbs a month. I don't know how possible that is, but im trying. I have to commit to my 5:15am workouts and walking after work sometimes as well. Im increasing my fruits and veggies, and cutting back on my portion size of cheese and carbs. I can't even explain how much i LOVE cheese, so that is a bit more difficult.
A few people I know have been doing the Insanity workouts, but it seems a bit hard core for me. However, i am interested in achieving hardcore results so i may try it... There is another video series called FirmExpress I am intersted in as well. Have any of you tried it? 3 women conduct the sessions utilizing interval training. Seeems like it may yield good results.
Like I said, don't go into this expected to magically get up and have a Kim Kardashian body or anything. But your results WILL be great if you do what your physician says. Watch your sodium intake, WEAR A COMPRESSION GARMENT, and EXERCISE.
Measurements will be posted asap.
Please check out my pictures below! (Please excuse my rear end. Its not the prettiest.)

It has been almost 3.5 months since I've had my procedure. If you look at my most recent photo added, you will notice the raised area.
I am wondering if I should attempt to get this corrected. My friend told me it's noticeable, but I am just not interested in laying on the table for this.
I know that I have not worn my compression garment like I should have been, so I am wondering If I can just get a tighter one and wear it faithfully for the next 2-3 months to force the area to flatten.
What do you guys think? I'm looking for the easy, surgery free route.
If anyone knows how Docs correct these problems, please let me know...
Other than this, I'm still enjoying my results! Once I put my spanks on, you don't see this at all...
A full year post op and still glad I had it done....

I never went for my 6 month follow up. A tiny fat deposit is still left by my belly button, but when my weight drops it almost disappears.
Still glad I did it, but now I need to work on the definition and toning process and quit being lazy! Commit and follow through ladies and gents. While it seems magical, it isn't magic and requires work on your end as well.
My Doctor: Windell C. Davis-Boutte, MD
Appointment was at 10am We started around 11am. However, I had no problem with it at all. It gave me time to laugh it up with my best friend in the waiting area and watch television.
