“I've Had CO2 Laser Without Swelling, but Had Fraxel with Lots of Swelling - Walnut Creek, CA”
Spent: $1,000 in Walnut Creek

I'm curious why this would happen. I had the CO2 about 14 years ago, I remember lots of flaking, oozing, scabbing, etc. with redness. Had my first treatment with Fraxel, and I swelled up like a balloon. Almost couldn't see out of one eye. Looked ridiciulous. Why would Fraxel, covering 20% of the area, cause swelling, but not CO2, which was 100% coverage?

Yes, I liked the final results. Fresher, more vibrant, overall improvement. It even seemed to lighten dark areas under my eyes, which I didn't expect. A male coworker commented on my skin looking really nice. It was kind of fun to see things ooze, scab, flake away. Except for the huge amount of swelling, I liked it. Would I do it again? Definitely.
