I am almost 60 and pride myself on not looking it, but lets face it gravity has not been kind. I went to ps to discuss replacing 30 year old implants but was of course told I needed a lift as well. After digesting the time off work, the recovery and lifting restraints as well as the $$$ I decided I'm worth it! I Love chatting and getting ideas from everyone here. I know everyone has a different experience but it helps to know someone who has first hand experience.

It will be here before you know it! I remember counting down the days, hrs & even seconds ( I found a wonderful app for my phone). What type of implants & size have you picked? I look forward to hearing about your journey, I hope it all goes well & that you have a wonderful outcome. ☺

Chanel1, I love your spirit & your enthusiasm for life learning & getting information from many different resources!! You're an Encouraging Beautiful Woman & I pray I'll have your Spark when I'm 60. I think I will.....I'm 40 now & I love life everyday is a gift to be embraced! You're absolutely right by all means you're WORTH EVER PENNY! I'm almost 4 wks post-op from an anchor incision major lift with silicone moderate plus under muscle smooth round implants.....I Love them! I'm not going to sugar coat it, the first few days weren't comfortable. When I saw my PS 4 days post-op, I hugged him & said thank u so much! He said this is normally the time when womentering hate me for inflicting pain! ;) day 5-7 were the worst & each day got better. I do still wake up some mornings feeling engorged & like I need to breastfeed a baby...Lol Are you planning on going under muscle this time? What type of lift is your PS suggesting? It sounds like your implants have served you well over the years & now is the time to upgrade :) It's definitely a lift time commitment, but it's worth it! Do you currently have Silicone or Saline implants? I wish you the best of luck & pray you'll be back on your feet in no time! I look forward to seeing how your journey progresses.

update: Saw my ps today, this pre op visit is scary where they go over all that can go wrong and the stipulations for the first month… ;) and give me a rx for several medicines to take before, during, and after..., however I believe he is going to make up his mind during surgery exactly what he will do but he hopes under the muscle silicone gel, (they are over the muscle now and gel), 2 different sizes to make up for uneven breast now, around 400 cc. The saggier (is that a word?) of the two will probably have lollipop type incision and the other probably just around nipple. I feel good about him because I do want him to use his professional judgement about what I need once he gets in there and discovers calcification etc. He explained they sit you up several times during surgery to get a better look at symmetry… he is also an artist so I hope he uses that skill too :) Thanks for all your support.

Chanel1, I remember feeling so overwhelmed at, before, during my pre op appointment! I'm so glad that your Dr is an artist & I'm sure you're in wonderful hands :) I allowed my PS to choose what he felt was best & I couldn't be happier! I'll keep u in my thoughts & prayers..it's almost like Christmas, you're going to have a wonderful gift & you'll literally unwrap your Girls

This is the hardest part waiting to see if it is going to turn out right… A review, I had old (30 years) implants taken out which were leaking, he had to spend some time getting the capsule out and had new gel put above muscle again (due to complication no under muscle), and a BL. He said he put 400 cc in right (smaller) and i think he said 325 in left. I feel a have a lot more cleavage but no projection ?? flat around nipple… I do not know what my previous implants were. I am going to try to post some pictures so I am open to anyones advice. I see my ps again monday.

Chanel1, you're welcome I wanted to let you know that I'm so encouraged by your story! I'm 40 yrs old, this is my first BA & I had to have a major anchor lift. I'm in surgical menopausa & had ovarian cancer over a decade ago. I really appreciate the wisdom you have to share. I look forward to seeing how well you heal :)

Hi Chanel1again. Yours look similar to the way mine are, if you look at my photos. I'm hoping as the weeks go on they stop looking square and start rounding off. I also was cut under the breast line as well, like an anchor lift. Your only Day 7 so they still have a lot of healing to do, give it time and they will improve.

I went to ps today and he said all is looking good. He said he did a lot of extra work on left side including stitching internally to improve cleavage. If you look at my before pics you can see the difference in size. He said the gel from the old implants had leaked out quite a bit so the trauma to breast at surgery is quite a bit. Of course as those things go it did look better today. I feel much better. He gave me scar cream and I can start massaging… Thanks for all your support I guess I just panic easily :)

Chanel you look great! I too have 30 yo implants I need to change at some point soon. You are a little more full toward the under arm area as am I and really it is more natural, no one naturally has torpedos in the middle of their chest unless obvious implants. Give it a little time to heal. I think you will be happy with the results.

What did you use for scars? I had breast kft and hummy bear implants in March and 2 different doctors stutched them
One side is scarred badly. Other side is ok.
