I am 57 and just had BP and circumareolar lift 3 days ago. I'm 5'9" 140, and got mentor high profile gels 500cc for both. Pain was worse the day after surgery, but completely controlled by pain meds. I'm feeling better everday. Making sure to keep diet low sodium (reduce swelling) and taking vitamins and eating plenty of protein. I know this will be a process. I am happy I finally did it! It will be such a self-confidence booster! :)

Hello, Newbieboobie01... I'm 50 and it has just now a month for me. How has your journey been. Is there anything you would have done different?

Can anyone tell me how to update my review? Anyone here from Colorado? I'm in beginning stages. First consult is this Tuesday. Drive is 11/2 hours one way. We don't have that many choices without going to Denver which is over 3 hours away. I would love to stay a bit closer for post op appointments. I would like a mommy makeover if possible. If I can only have one though I have to decide which comes first the BA or TT. Boobs would be so nice, but flat tummy too......

Hey clippinchick, congratulations! I'm 51 and had mine done last May. Can you tell us a little about yourself and which implants you got? It's the best thing I have ever done for myself.

I am a barber, i am the only one that works in the shop. My husbandworks in North Dakota. We have one daughter thats 27 and was married last April. I was one of those people that use to say I wouldn't have a boob job. I did not want to be looked at because of them. But, for a few years now I have looked at myself and just wished I could fill up what I had. I was always active but started working out for the first time in my life. I figured out I could have what I wanted. So I did it and look at them every day. If someone has noticed they have not said anything. I had the silicone 300cc under muscle PS said my numbers were good did not need lift. My mother had gel implants back in the late 80s or 90s and later had them removed they were the old kind and had saline replaced.

The April/May group actually did talk about doing a 1 year reunion in Vegas. I don't know if it was ever serious. I have met so many women from May to October surgeries, I think it would be great to have a 2014 BA's reunion somewhere. I don't know about Vegas though. I think I would want to go somewhere we could get pampered all day, facials, pedi's and mani's, massage's from a really sexy masseuse. Martini's by the pool.

Hi 50+ team! BethH sent me a link to your group. I'm turning 49 in Feb so I guess she figured close enough. I am going for three 1st time BA consults next week @ 3 different docs. What one piece of advice would u give me going in?? Or what is the most important question to ask?? Thanks!!

Hi OC48! Take lots of wish pics with you of what you would like to look like and a couple of what you DON'T want to look like. Make sure they are certified. I had 2 consults. First one was very clinical when he looked at me, did not offer sizers to try on, also did not care to see my wish pics. I left pretty bummed. The 2nd one I saw was amazing. He looked at my breasts as a piece of art HE was excited to create. Asked about my lifestyle, looked at my pics and measured me twice. I left there wanting to jump up and down! At my pre op I had a list of 17 questions. He said let me talk and then I will answer the questions you have left. He answered 15 before I even asked. Above all, TRUST YOUR GUT! This is about YOU, not them! Good luck!
