2 years out - still best thing I ever did

2 years since my surgery is coming up in the next two weeks. And just wanted to say I am still very pleased with my results. I have gained back some weight, so am heavier than I like. But that's normal for me, I am roughly at the same weight when I first started surgery shopping. But look 100% better. :) I am at about an 8-9 in pants juniors. Which is okay for my curvy body build, and I look terrific. Just undressed I have more padding than I prefer.

Because of the extra weight, breasts are also closer to a very full D - DD right now.

I prefer the smaller small D range.

But again, every thing looks terrific. No sagging etc.

Scars are fading well, but still visible in some areas, but I can wear a bikini no problem, and rock it well :) Not bad for a 51 year old. I am very fair, so knew scars would take quite awhile to heal fully. They are almost invisible on the line going down under my breasts, so dark pink around nipple and tummy tuck (in center) belly button completely flat and skin-tone, or light white.

I still recommend Dr Vanderpool and his team wholeheartedly. They have been terrific with all my after care, even providing me with laser and cortisone injections to help with my scaring.

For me the surgery and healing and results were all a WIN, I have no regrets at all. I do think one should be well educated , and realistic on exceptions before going into surgery. And its very important to vet out your surgeon choice well beforehand.

almost 6 month out

Doing wonderful, will upload pics later. Went to see my DR for a 5 month visit. Everything is great, and I am finally getting used to the new me :) Breasts are dropped, fluffed and look and feel 100% natural, just "pushed up" and not saggy. I really love them.

Some of my scars are redder then Dr likes (I am fair skinned and he told me they would be red a long time, but will fade), and my belly button is a bit bumpy.

Dr started cortizone shots on navel scar, and it shrunk it in a few hours - looked awesome!! Smoothed out, no bumps. Next visit to the Dr, he said they will do some laser on my nipple scars to remove some redness. Also will be doing shots on belly button scar for a few months.

Overall my scars are flat, and the ones on my breasts cannot be felt at all - just seen because of color. Belly button and TT is slightly raised but mostly flat. Belly button has a slight Keloid on one side, but the shot fixed that. So I expect it will resolve with treatment. (no extra cost on this)

Dr said that will flatted more.

Everyday I also tighten up more all over, this will happen for upto 18 months after surgery from the Lipo/Laser services. Kind of awesome.

I work out now and actually SEE results pretty quickly with the excess skin gone.

I had great results, and am very pleased, so is my husband :)

Clothes shopping s fun! :)

States Updates at 4 month PO

Just added my Stats/measurements update from pre surgery to 4 months past.

Pre Surgery:

Height: 5'2
weight: 140 lb (goal weight range is 135 lb)
Under Breast ribcage: 32 "
Above Breast, under arm pit, Bra Roll: 36"
Across Breast, fullest area: 37"
Waist, smallest area (I am short waisted) : 29.5"
Hip 37"

Now:
Height: 5'2
weight: 150 lb (gained 10 lbs)
Under Breast ribcage: 32 " same
Above Breast, under arm pit, Bra Roll: 37" (lost fat pad on side, but now have breast tissue up there in from implant at front)
Across Breast, fullest area: 40" (3 inch gain)
Waist, smallest area (I am short waisted) : 31" 1. 5 " from weight gain
Hip 38" - 1 inch increase from weight gain

Presurgery pants size 8-9-10, Bra Size 38 C with pushup, limited upper fullness

Post Surgery pants Size 7-8, Bra Size 36 D , no pushup , reg bra, lots of upper fullness (yeah)

Over all I am pleased with results. Would love to drop 10 pounds to be a tad "leaner" and highlight my muscle definition, but I find, for me, its hard to do.

I have a lot of muscle, I weigh heavy on the scale for that reason. I don't want to lose muscle mass, or bone densty that I have gained, and will not starve below 1200-1300 cals to lose. The scale "number" means little to me, rather the appearance and clothing fit is more my personal concern.
--------------------------------------
At about 10 lbs less, I will have a bit better cut/defined ab look, for my personal preference. And I fit into size 7-8 now, but would like just a little less "fluff" around the waist. So its the fat I am concerned with, not the scale number. My measurements help me track that.

Unfortunately for me, my age, metabolism, height etc. Its hard to lose weight, and hard to keep it off below my current range. I work out regularly, heavy weighs and cardio, watch my food intake, but Even playing with cal ranges, workout cal burns etc. its hard to drop weight for me.

Currently I have 2 more weeks in my weight lifting cycle.
In two more weeks I will add in some extra cardio 3 times a week, and address the extra fat issue.

Anyway just adding info, so I can see where I was, and where I am going.

Cheers all!

Love him so far!!! Both Dr V and his staff are very warm and seemed to listen to my needs. Suggestions were made, but I never felt pressured or pushed in any way. Office facility is nice and comfortable, and I never have a problem getting in contact with them when needed. All phone calls have been returned quickly, and all my questions have been addresses in a complete manner. Have not yet had my surgery, but I know I will be in good hands with this Surgeon and his team.
