Fixed my Tummy! - Fairfax, VA

It's the same old story... my tummy was all stretched out after pregnancy and I was miserable. It was especially bad for me I think because I am in my late twenties still, not planning on any more children, and after gaining 75 lbs during pregnancy my tummy ended up looking like a hanging apron of wrinkly skin, ugh! Being thin and with good abs, I didn't want muscle tightening or liposuction, just the skin resection. I still have my little love handles in the back and I gotta keep up the exercise to keep my abs tight, but at least now the skin is taut when I stand up and much of my constellation of stretch marks was removed too. The other benefits of having this minimal surgery was that it ended up being cheaper, less painful (no opiates needed past the second day), and I was able to go into work after only five days (can't afford many days off with my job). The surgery was pretty quick and very neatly done; I now have a beautiful belly button and a very low scar that is easily hidden, although it is too early to tell how bad the scarring will be, it seems pretty normal for this stage of healing. What I didn't expect is that there still is some skin wrinkling that occurs when I bend and such, but it's still just so much better than it was before. I can now wear a bikini and look in the mirror without crying so it was definitely worth it for me!
