Three months ago I made one of the best decisions...
Three months ago I made one of the best decisions of my life. I got a breast augmentation!
I was referred to Dr. Payam Jarrah-Nejad, also known as "Dr. J", by a friend who had just recently undergone a breast augmentation. As a result, I began to do my research on Dr. J. To say the least, I liked what I saw. Dr. J has a private practice and is also part of the Beverly Hills Physician team. I decided to have a free consultation with him through Beverly Hills Physicians at his Pasadena office.
During the consultation Dr. J was very friendly and professional. I took a picture of how I wanted my breast to look. I was looking for a natural figure where my breast would compliment my body structure. Dr. J knew exactly what I wanted. He described the options that I had, the difference between silicone and saline, and what he thought would be best for me. One of the many things that I liked from Dr. J was that I did not feel pressured or rushed to make a decision right away. He answered all of my questions and assured me that I could return to his office, or call him, if I had any questions. I went into the office knowing what I wanted, thus I scheduled my surgery the same day. I had done my research with other doctors. However, I had not seen the work of other doctors first hand. In Dr J's case, I had seen my friends breast and had also heard great things about him from other people. After meeting him and the staff, I was convinced he was the doctor for me.
My surgery was scheduled for the following month at the Encino location. The anesthesiologist and the nurses met with me before the surgery and made me feel very comfortable by walking my through the process. Dr. J also met with me before surgery and went over the type of procedure I was getting done. He was very calm and patient with any final questions that I had. The surgery went very smooth.
After surgery Dr. J called me to check on how I was doing. I was so drugged up that I missed his call. However, he did leave a nice voicemail reminding me to keep it easy and to feel free to call him on his cell phone if I had any questions. I thought that was a nice touch.
The follow-up appointments were also great. The staff made sure to call me a day before to remind me of my appointments and were very welcoming once I arrived at the office.
The entire experience was amazing! I ended up getting 371 cc silicone-filled implants with a lift on my right breast, thus the incisions are on the upper part of my areola. If you are looking for a doctor who is caring, patient, and who will sculpt you to compliment your frame, then Dr. J is for you! I remember an instance where Dr. J mentioned he did not want me to go any bigger because it would not give me to look I was going for. He was right. I am now about 3 months post op and love my breast! I receive compliments all the time! I still have scars but those should go away within a year.
