6 weeks PO on Monday!

Today was my first day back at the gym and hallelujah did it feel great! I took it easy, walked on an incline on the treadmill for 40 mins and some light weights. I'm starting to feel like a normal person again! Back to lifting and cuddling my babies and doing everyday activities. It's been a long 6 weeks of recovery. But WOW!!! Was it worth every minute and penny! I feel so good! Anybody who is considering this procedure, it's the best thing I've done for me. You read about all the ups and downs on here, and they're true.... I didn't have terrible down periods, more just guilt for feeling so useless for my family during the last 6 weeks. I hope I can be an inspiration for someone who is considering this or someone who is in recovery and feels like it's not worth it..... It is! Take care of yourself, follow your surgeons instructions and don't over do it!! Happy healing fellow real-selfers!!

Day 24 PO

Almost at my 4 week mark and missing exercise like crazy. I cannot wait to get back to the gym. I'm feeling great, but being mindful of taking it easy so I don't regress in my healing. 2 more weeks and I will be back at the gym and lifting my babies.
I'm so so happy I've gone through with the procedure. Nothing much else exciting to report otherwise! Hope everyone else is doing great!

Day 15 PO

Sorry for not updating sooner, the last week or so has been really good! Got my drain removed (painless) all that worry for nothing. Took my steri tape off yesterday in the shower and am now using the paper tape. Pretty much walking straight and sleeping on my side in the night. It's been a long, boring recovery and so hard not to be able to pick up my babies. But a few more weeks and I'll be back to normal. I've had a lot of help and a very supportive husband. He's starting to be a bit grouchy handling everything on his own, but I guess that's to be expected... 4 kids is a lot of work. :) here's a few updated photos. I'm so happy with my results thus far!
