5 weeks post breast reduction

Things are definitely improving and the bruising looks just like some faint redness at the bottom of my boobs and the remnants of yellow under one arm. I slept on my sides last night as I was getting a stiff neck from sleeping upright. Although it was a bit uncomfortable to change sides I feel as though my boobs are more mobile today and less rigid. I will go back to work in 1 week and I honestly could not have gone back before now. I work on evening shifts often and discomfort always worse as day goes on. Most comfortable bra is the Annette Renoir one and I am planning to get fitted on Monday for a sports bra. Again, I have been too sore and swollen until last few days to wear something rigid. Stretching up is still a bit uncomfortable so still need to watch what I am doing. Been a longer recovery than I had thought.

3 weeks after breast reduction

Finally the discomfort is easing and I only had paracetamol yesterday. Found a bra called genie which is stretchy and has some padding in cups which helps nipples not to feel so exposed! You cAn take padding out if you don't want it. Bought usual size 12 and fits very well. About £4 each!!! Great to have something comfortable to wear. Scars healing well but a bit early for silicone tape. To wait until no scars look at all fragile. Am still steristripped over incisions until then. Read that pineapple has substance in it that helps dispel bruising. Ate one over yesterday and today. Wonder if that has helped discomfort. Worth a try. Driving is the next step...

2 weeks post breast reduction uk

I have tried to put posts on twice but they disappeared. So third time lucky! I am pleased with the result of the op but was surprised by the amount of pain and bruising I have had. Incisions healing well but have been able to do almost nothing until yesterday due to discomfort. I know some people bruise more than others and I know that there is nothing wrong as ps very happy with result. Nurse mentioned that liposuction if used can cause this bruising and pain. Anyway, trying only paracetamol today. I can still fall sleep during day too and there is no way I could think about being back at work. A bit surprised as I say as I am healthy, normal weight etc. anyway, job is done. Still wearing shelf bra tops as too sore for anything else.

This surgeon made me feel that nothing was a problem and has seen me at each review visit. I consider so far that he has done a highly skilled piece of work on me and the care I received throughout my stay at spire murrayfield, Edinburgh was fantastic. I would recommend their service.
