Removing breast implants

Well, here I am again! I will be getting my implants out because of breast implant illness. Here is what I shared on Facebook.
I've thought about posting this and sharing my story for the longest time, however, embarrassment and fear prevented me from sharing. Not everyone will agree, and of course, everyone will have their own experience and opinion, that’s life
This is just my story and experience.
Where do I begin... 6 years ago I decided to get breast implants. I had an amazing result and was in love with how I fit into my clothes. I loved my new boobs! Within 6 months my implants had bottomed out, causing me to undergo an extremely painful procedure to correct, literally an internal bra was sewn to my ribs to push the implants back up. Even still going through the pain, etc. I was still in love with the end result. About 2 years after, I started having terrible stomach pains, unable to keep food down, and bloating when I did eat. I also began to have terrible sinus infections about every three to six months, yes, the list goes on. I went to see an awesome dr and was diagnosed with Hashimotos. I was told that I needed to eat clean, no gluten, no soy, no dairy, and the list goes on. My hormones also came back super out of whack, so I was put on hormones and a thyroid medicine to help. I decided it was time to figure out why I kept getting sinus infections so I went to see a specialist and was told I had a nose/sinuses full of polyps. I had surgery to remove the polyps, however, while he was operating he discovered some odd looking purplish tissue. Thankfully he sent it to the lab, which turned out to be ok. Oh, the polyps are now back, possibly requiring another surgery. Within 6 months I had to have my appendix out, after another year I had to have a hysterectomy due to heavy bleeding (25 days) out of the month and precancerous cells. After another 6 months my gallbladder failed me and was removed. During this time, I felt like the worst mom, like I wasn’t really around for my kids or was stuck in bed just trying to feel better. Just going to work was a true task that I hated doing, but life goes on and we do what we need to do. I made every effort to just feel better and be present where needed.
You’re probably asking why I’m telling you this. Well, I cannot afford to remove my implants just yet, so I’m saving up, and yes, they will be coming out, hopefully sooner than later. There is a good chance that taking them out will at least stop any new symptoms from appearing, possibly fixing some of the issues. I am only posting this because I’ve seen three good friends get implants, and had I already shared my story, it could have prevented them from possibly having the same issues. Again, this may not affect everyone the same, and some may simply take a longer time to appear.
For those of you wondering, I had high profile silicone implants, however, those with saline are still at risk due to the silicone shell.
Breast implants are simply not worth the pain and other health issues that can go along with it. So please, if you’re considering getting these toxic bags, please, please, please, do your homework and research it. I belong to another fb group just for this issue, 50.000 women are part of this group, which must tell you something. Please if you already have them, pay attention to your body and the signs. Your health is so important! Just remember, you’re beautiful inside and out, you don’t need big boobs!
If you do want to make a cosmetic change to that area, consider doing a fat transfer instead. Your body won’t reject your own cells.
I would be happy to discuss further if you have questions or are would like to know where to go for additional reading/ support. My hope is to spread awareness in my small little circle of the world.
Here is one website with a ton of information. There are also several Facebook groups for it.
