The Do's and The Dont's

DO READ YOUR CONTRACT!
*************************************************
Alot of people got ripped off by Laura forcing them to pay for insurance. If you read your contract it clearly says it's optional. She never asked our "group" to pay for this. BUT, when the new group arrived at Virginia's they were told that it was mandatory!
*******************************************
DO NOT LEAVE WITHOUT GETTING YOUR RECEIPT!

You won't even see Laura after your surgery, (well you can I'll tell you later! ) Get your receipt if you paid cash! Most of the women from my recovery house never got receipts of the money they gave Laura or even a receipt of the $150.00 Laura made you give her! So if you needed additional services after your procedure..who are you going to call? Where's your proof? Aha....got it now? :)

WESTERN UNION
Laura will hit you up with that they didn't pick up the payment from Western Union! MAKE SURE you make a copy of your transaction!!! But WAIT!! She will tell you that she didn't pick it up, so you will have to pay the amount you ALREADY gave her AGAIN! I saw a few women strapped for cash, cause they came with a set amount and didn't think they had to give more because Laura was too LAZY to pick it up from Western Union! If it doesn't say your payment was collected, then LAURA will hit you up for more money!

Oxygen tanks, creams, prices OH MY!!
They will try to force you into doing those Oxygen tanks that cost $100.00 a pop. Please people!!! The doctor that runs that office last name is Robles as well! So everyone in the family is eating from those unnecessary treatments! It's [RS bleep]! A young woman from London was asked to do 10! O.O !! They knew she had money and she didn't do it after the first treatment. Everyone afterwards thought it was a waste of time and money! If they try to force you into those scams just tell them NO! Buy the creams, but that's IT!
*************************************************
Also the creams are good to get there from the pharmacy. BUT they tried to get me for more money! The day I arrived at Virginia's I was told it was 40 dollars. 10 days later I ordered the same to go home with and they tried to charge me $50 dollars until Yalisa called them and told them the amount was wrong! I know you're recovering but you really have to be on your game to make sure you aren't swindled down there! It happens everywhere..this I do know! But I hate it when people try to use you while you're recovering!
***********************************************
MEDICAL RECORDS
Also make sure you get a copy of your medical records!! Again you probably won't hear from Laura after your surgery, but she will give you the run around about why you couldn't get it! I don't understand why.. That's all for now! i'm tired...

JUST WATCH OUT FOR THE SCAMS!

Sorry everyone, but I've been recovering!! A tummy tuck w/lipo is NO joke! My tummy hurt doesn't hurt at all but this lipo!!! Baby, that's all she wrote! lol

I just wanted to say a few things and then I'm off this thing until I get some more strength to type the way I want.

I arrive in DR on 5/21/2014 at 12pm. Wilson was there already to pick my up. I met another woman that was waiting with Wilson for me. We arrived at CECIP and it's a very nice hospital. A few weird things were going on while we were sitting there waiting for our blood work, X-Rays, etc. Sometimes you will hear a helicopter and the entire street will stop in front of the hospital. lol It lands on TOP of the hospital and then you will see armed men busting the door open with rifles and one will go downstairs and then they are back upstairs, heading to the helicopter. lol It was just a little strange to see. I was told they come to pick up large amounts of money at the hospital, so they don't want to get robbed. So maybe every 3 hours you will hear that helicopter! ha

Anyways, we arrived and was greeted by Dr. Gonzalez and Israel. They were really nice. We went around the entire building (please bring comfy shoes) and in each room you will go in and get blood work, EKG, X-Rays, etc but you will have to wait to receive your results. It took about 4 hours to complete but then we had to wait until Laura got there. So we were told that she was in traffic, then they told us she was at a recovery house, then to they don't know where she's at! It was 10 pm by now and no rooms were available at the hospital and we still didn't get to meet Dr. Robles!! I was really exhausted from my 4 hour flight, plus blood work, we were starving, and just really ready to go to bed!!! Laura arrived at 10 pm and sat us in the office to get or money.
***********************WARNING******************
If you will be using your debit card (which I think you should do) PLEASE call your bank a FEW times before leaving the US!!!!! For some reason in DR my card wouldn't work, I had to call my bank a million times in order to get my card to work here. PLEASE CALL YOUR BANK BEFORE YOU LEAVE!!!

Back to the story..lol We were in office with Laura and the other two women were paying with cash. They asked Laura for a receipt and NEVER got one. We all ask for a copy of our medical records (in advance) so when we left DR we would be able to have a copy and also give them to our doctor's, if something happened. We NEVER got one!! (I'll get back to you on that story). So I told them I was very hungry and sleepy but wait.....WE had to see the doctor!!! After we paid and individually went in a room to see Dr. Robles. She looked different from her pictures on RS, she looks much taller and younger in person. She also looked exhausted. Dr. Robles is a great doctor that never goes home. If you go to CECIP at 2 am she will be there! (Hell, maybe she has her own bedroom in there) but she's a nonstop working doctor!
She marked us up and Laura would provide the feedback that Robles couldn't communicate. Dr. Robles actually speaks English very well..I don't think she comprehends it or catches it fast enough at times. So Laura is there to help with communication. My hemo was 14.1 and I was told I could really get whatever I wanted. I decided to just go with a tummy tuck and lipo! If needed, I can go back and get my breast done. Wilson dropped us off at the hotel and picked us up at 6:00 am for our surgery.

I don't think I was nervous...just anxious to get it over with. I was the last one to get my surgery done, after being told to that I would be first. No issues though, I hated going around the hospital with my luggage! I had to wait until a bed was available and I placed my stuff in the closet. There's a lock box in the closet as well.
I'm sorry ladies I didn't get to experience my blue pill moment! They came in the room to give me my gown and cap. I got dress, got on the bed, and a man came with a wheelchair to take me to surgery! lol I really wanted that experience too! Anyways, I went in to the room and anesthesiologist gave me her name and told me what she was going to do. I remember another doctor behind me telling me it was going to be OK and that's all I remembered! lol I never saw Dr. Robles and I woke up in the recovery room screaming to be alive and holding my stomach!
I never got a chance to sleep in CECIP cause I always had someone coming in my room to check up on me. I think it's a good thing, comparing to what I've read from some of the reviews. I don't really think they left my room! lol Dr. Robles came in and told me everything went well and she checked my stitches to make sure everything looked right. I had a compression garment on when I woke up. A nurse comes by and moves you around alot and puts on your clothes for you to get ready to go to the recovery house. I still remember I couldn't get off that damn bed to save my life! It's really hard not being able to function like you used too. It's still hard! I'm sorry I'll be back back to write more. I'm getting tired of typing..lol

Sorry I've been pretty busy!

Hi Everyone..only 4 days away! Current feelings: a lil' uptight and ready for this to be over with! Sorry everyone, I've been pretty busy with work. We had a few layoffs here and the anticipation of it all got me a lil stressed. I'm sure my family is ready for me to go on vacation, cause I've been super stressed! lol I know this trip isn't a vacation, but I really need to get away for a bit. I have alot of down time down there to chill. lol I'm pretty much packed. I have to get some magazines and some front buttoned pj's. I hope I didn't over pack my luggage, but whatever! lol I received a few emails from Laura and she wanted to make sure if I had any questions or concerns. She sent me direct numbers for the driver, the office, and herself. So that was pretty reassuring. She also sent me a few emails just to check on me. I've learned so much from this journey and it hasn't even started yet! Taking iron pills has brought my hemoglobin levels up to 14, this has also helped me with my monthly cycle. I don't cramp up and bleed half to death anymore..so weird. All I had to do was take my iron pills daily, along with my vitamins and I'm not so tired anymore. In fact, I have way too much energy! lol I don't know how to post a picture on here but I will try again, before I completely give up. lol
