In 2009 I traveled to Dominican Republic with my Boyfriend, we both speak fluent spanish. We interviewed the Doctor to discuss a Tummy tuck. The doctor was referred to me by word of mouth from someone who had a breast lift with this doctor.
After he saw my stomach and loose belly skin he told us he would "throw in for another 2,000 USD a nice pair of implants with a minor lift". I was a size 7-8 and a small B cup and was not overweight, I had wrinkly skin on my lower belly from my prior pregnancy. .I had all the pre surgery lab work and next day I was on the operating table. This doctors business card states he is a "burn-skin trauma-reconstruction surgeon" not a plastics expert...as he markets himself. My boyfriend who knows the system well; asked to be near by the surgery room to monitor things. Once I was done by this doctor, he showed the end result of implants and a tummy tuck. Immediately my boyfriend asked why the breast looked with nipples pointing down and the Tummy tuck did not looked tucked correctly. He then assured him in a few days all would be fine. No it did not.
The hospital he uses for surgery is one of the most low rated and have minimal advanced medical equipment. If you have a respiratory complication or a serious medical complication...you most likely will go back to the US in a body bag.
There are many qualified doctors in DR for plastics such as Duran, Almonte, Cabral, Yily de los Santos, Hernandez Pizoglio, Goico and just a few more..
6 months after my procedure, my breast were heavy and saggin down from the weight of the large implants he put in and the areolas where badly cut and replaced...I looked butchered and sowed badly together. During the Tummy tuck he did not do any Liposuction to contour and the stitching was very thick. The after anesthesia recovery was hard as it turned out they administered a bit too much of anesthesia and they started panicking I wasen't waking up. a real pandemonium. The man was well mannered, but he was misleading...and ultimately disfigured me. We called many times over to ask if he used silicon or saline implants to be able to give some info to other doctors evaluating my reconstruction...Dr. Guashino asked for more money to fix me. No way.
Bottom line stay clear of his practie. There are far better Doctors in Dominican Republic that have great expertise in plastics.

The man was a good talker, presented well. Dingy office, Operating room looked scary. Well mannered. Deceiving. No medical documentation for implants to give. Would not return my phone calls or emails.
