Updateeeee

Hello loves!!! I’m blessed to say that I am approaching 4 weeks post op and I’m getting better each day! Sorry it took so long for me to come back and update you guys! This ‘recovery’ thing is NO JOKE! The DR was great but I started to get depressed after my dad had to leave 4 days early to go back to work. Daisy (from Daisy’s RH) came to my room and talked to me so that I would feel better. She said that it’s actually normal to get depressed or feel down when you’re recovering. I started getting home sick and on top of that, I just felt helpless. Even though I wasn’t because the staff at Daisy’s RH is AMAZING! They really make you feel like family there and literally help you with EVERYTHING! I cannot stress ENOUGH that you MUST get a reliable recovery house! Ladies, after your procedure you are going to need help with everything! Going to the bathroom, getting out of bed, even just sitting up to eat food! Things get rough so you need to make sure you’re set once you’re procedure is over. I am also grateful to Dra. Yily for putting her blessed hands on my body! Even though I’m only a few weeks post op, I can already see a difference in my body. My boyfriend gets excited just from watching me walk in (or leave lol) the room! I mean, it’s crazy! Especially because he had absolutely NO sympathy for me when I was in DR putting my body through trauma. Daisy told me that’s just how guys are, but once they see how good your body is looking…it’s a wrap! Overall, recovery has been good to me. I went to see my PCP yesterday to have some blood work done and to get my stitches taken out (didn’t hurt). I’m so thankful that my levels came out normal. Oh yeah, weight loss! I’ve lost about 10 lbs since surgery and I know it will be more because I’ve been eating right. It just sucks because I REALLY want to go to the gym but I can’t yet. Yily said I have to wait 1 month for cardio and 6 months for weight training. Honestly, I feel like I could handle light work outs but my body needs more healing time. But anyway, I just wanted to come on here and let everyone know that I am okay and healing one day at a time. My procedure was a success and I am thankful to Yily and her staff for giving me the body that I’ve always wanted! I will post pics so you dolls can see more of Yily’s workkkkk! Well, I do believe that’s all for now folks. Love you guys! xoxo

Wow!!

So let me tell you about my procedure! Whooo this stuff is NO JOKE okay?! Like I'm not even exaggerating! I arrived to Yily's office yesterday (Saturday) to do a few more tests before my procedure. Lina, who is one of Daisy's assistants helped me get everything done. Her English isn't that good but because I know some Spanish, I was able to get my points across. Anyway, I got my EKG done and blood pressure..I was also asked my health history like if I have any allergies to medication, history of high blood pressure...etc. Next thing I knew I was looking at Yily face to face..let me tell you, Yily is a whole lot of woman lmao! She is so beautiful it's not even funny! She went over what I was having done, marked me up, and answered the questions that my dad had for her. Yily said it was very good that my dad came with me and she was very happy about it. Soon after that, I got the blue pill, the IV (oh my God hurt like hell), and then I was wheeled off to the surgery room and was given the epidural (again hurt like hell). It sucks because you have to be partially awake when they give it to you. Next thing I knew, I was in the recovery room dressed in my faja and my dad was there to see me wake up. Shortly after that , he had to leave because I man is not allowed to stay in the recovery room over night. Lina ended up staying the night with me and that's when all the 'fun' began lol...okay, once the anesthesia wore off it was no bueno! I couldn't sleep because if I stayed in a position too long, I would be in excruciating pain..so Lina had to call the nurses in to help flip me over! OH MY GOD! PAIN! I was crying and screaming eso duele! That means 'that hurts' in Spanish..or I was screaming no puedo! which means 'I cant' in Spanish. The nurses were all fluent in Spanish but did the best that they could to calm me down. Finally I made it to the morning...PRAISE GOD! Another nurse came in, took the taping off from under my faja, cleaned me off with baby wipes, removed my catheter, and took out my IV. Lina helped me put on my maxi dress and shortly after, Lorenzo picked us up and we went
back to the RH. My dad and Lorenzo went to the pharmacy to get all of my meds and Gabi (the main nurse in the RH) got me some food, gave me my meds, and helped me get comfortable in my bed. She is SO SWEET! Speaks almost no English but again, not a problem for me. Also, I met this really nice girl, Jennifer who is getting her surgery on Monday but has been helping me out too! She's from New York and speaks fluent Spanish. She helps translate sometimes when it's absolutely impossible for me to communicate with some of the staff. I saw Yily again this morning before left Cipla and she told me that I looked beautiful and went over all the medications that I need to take. So far, I've had a great experience with Yily and Daisy's RH! Even my dad is impressed and that's saying a lot lol! But anyway I will try to take some pictures and post them for you all, I'm really tired and need to catch up on some sleep that I didn't get all yesterday! But anyway, I guess that's all for now loves! I will post more updates soon! Xoxo

Travel Problems...

Hey loves! Wow so I had to end up pushing my procedure back to this Monday! Let's see, my flight got canceled twice (Copa Airlines), and the last flight that flew out yesterday was overbooked. In total my dad and I were at the airport for almost 12 hours trying to get on a flight to Panama and then connect to Santo Domingo. Fast forward----> we were able to re book our flight for Friday, November 21st (which was my original procedure date). I was so angry yesterday but went home for the night only to realize that my Pee EZ funnel (that wasn't supposed to get to my house until the 21st) had arrived a whole day earlier! God has some sense of humor! He didn't want me to take off yesterday because I was about to leave without something that I needed. Our original plane that we were supposed to get on yesterday (November 20th) got canceled because of maintenance and electrical problems. Like, we were on the runway about to take off when the pilot slammed on his brakes. Even though yesterday was a bust, I'm thankful to God for my life! It's because of Him that my dad and I are safe! Sorry, I don't mean to sound preachy or anything but I give credit when it's due.

Fast forward again----> I was able to get in contact with Daisy from Daisy's RH and told her everything that happened to us yesterday. I really appreciate her help! She texted me on WhatsApp and told me that everything's going to be alright and I just need to relax. She called Yily for me and told her everything so that I could push back my procedure date. Daisy is so awesome and generally just cares about the people that are staying at her RH. Honestly, she didn't have to help me out like that considering she and Yily are in another country. Anyway, I'm getting my labs done tomorrow (Saturday) and once I'm cleared (which I should be) I will go ahead with the procedure on Monday. I let my job know the situation so instead of coming back on the 29th, I have to wait until Monday, December 1st. Well at least I'll have a day to see Santo Domingo before I go through hell! Anyway, I just wanted to keep you guys updated on the craziness that's been happening within the past 24 hours! I will come back with another update once everything gets 'kicked off.' I love you guys and ask that you keep me and my dad in your prayers! I'm so excited that things are going as planned again and haven't lost faith that God won't leave our sides! Later loves!!! Xoxo

Dra. Yily is an absolute doll! She answered all of my questions and helped put my anxiety at ease. Yily and her staff made sure that I was healthy enough to go ahead with the procedures that I got done. She also stayed in direct contact with my RH provider, Daisy and checked up on me to make sure I was okay. Even my dad was impressed with her service and professionalism, which is saying a lot! Yily is straight forward and won't just tell you what you want to hear. She is realistic but will DELIVER and give you the body/shape that you want! I have nothing bad to say about Yily and I'm so glad I chose her as my surgeon!
