I am 5'2" and weighed around 130 going into...
I am 5'2" and weighed around 130 going into surgery. I carried all my weight in my upper body i basically had no butt and no curves at all. Actually my hips were thinner than my torso. Yily transformed that! I now have a very small waist hips and booty! I communicated with yily via whatsapp it was not very difficult. I sent pics she gave me a quote and i set up the date(no deposit necessary just send flight info) im not much of a planner so i just took the most necessary items found on the bbl supplies list forum... The most important supplies was wifebeaters, maxis, babywipes, pads, arnica gel for massages, cottonballs, alcohol or antiseptic spray, lipofoam, compression socks, foam or soft pillow to sit on(i dont like the boppy pillow) anything for the shower is unnecessary as u cannot shower in the DR. I bought my garments when i was at Cipla and purchased a squeem and vedette waist cincher when i got home.*HEALING HAVEN RECOVERY HOUSE*
I went with not booking a recovery house as i had a friend that could help me but i realized when i got there i would need a rh. When i was at Cipla the day before surgery getting tests done, some girls were telling me about Healing Haven recovery house run by Jules. They raved about it. I got her number and easily set up staying there. Very reasonable prices for everything included. Thank goodness i chose to stay there! Jules is awesome and stayed at Cipla the night of surgery i spent there after my surgery fed me and checked on me and other girls throughout the night. She is really caring and understands because she has had bbl herself . The rh is nice and the staff that works there are very sweet and helpful they just do not speak english(besides Jules and Cecil) but a translator app is key for anything in the dr! The meals were delicious(many diff meals, chicken dishes, tilapia, spaghetti. All fruits and salad) you can also go to the store and put ensure in the fridge or whatever(you feel very comfy here) and you can get massages in house. The whole house was kept sparkling clean and very sanitary. There are helpers there 24/7 to help you with anything and a nurse visits daily to check on everyone and check drain/incisions. Ciso the driver is the nicest guy ever! He speaks really good english and will take you anywhere you want. He took a few of us to the mall and helped us communicate and even took my friend and i to boca chica beach when i was feeling good. I used him as my driver for everything the whole time i was there(even when i left and went to hotel) He is very trustworthy as with everyone at healing haven. Jules braided my hair back so that i didnt have to brush it bc it hurt to raise and move my arms like that! She is from new york but can speak fluent spanish so she can really help you communicate to Yily or whomever. *Maynoris My Nurse after RH*
i stayed at the rh for 3 nights 4 days. Were were staying at Florida hotel next to cipla but ac problems/tv problems we left frustrated bc i could not deal with issues fresh out of surgery. After that my friend and i moved to Hodelpa hotel in zona colonial where it is really cool and touristy. Very nice modern hotel!!!I had a nurse named Maynoris Gill come visit me everyday to give me my heprin shot clean me up and do other vitals. Sweetest lady hands down. Just make sure u have a translator so you both can converse. She really goes out of her way(my friend felt bad one day and she checked her out too!) if you are not staying at a rh the whole time i definitely recommend her! She was like 35 or 40 a visit and well worth a tip everytime. She even called me a few days ago just to see how im doing at 3months postop, i was very touched! She is reliable and knows what shes doing and wont cut corners. She will even wash your faja if needed. I also had a massage therapist who worked on 5th floor of cipla come to my room and massage me. I do not have a number on her as i found her at cipla bc i went there for one massage after i left rh. It is nice at cipla with a salon but most likely u will wait a while. Maynoris the nurse knows a massage lady who can come to you i believe.*New Journey ROUND 2*
There were a couple things that didnt go quite right so i am going back for a round 2. This time i am going to Dr.Cabral. Really only because he is extremely experienced and i can communicate all of my concerns clearly as he speaks english. In all of his years i know he has had to deal with depressed scar tissue. His rep is tainted but he is an amazing doctor and delivers awesome results i am confident in him. Also whatsapp with him is a breeze(809-707-2325) he answers all my concerns. I have an old brown recluse spider bite on my upper left cheek that has left a palm sized depressed area. It is scar tissue and my first round did not fill out the dent at all. Scar tissue does not like fat! I made Yily aware of it when she marked me up but there was no special attention to the area at all. So after all the swelling went down i had a bigger butt and the same size dent. My round 2 will focus on the dent and filling it in. Also my left side in general did not take fat like my right side and is a tad smaller. Nothing major so i hope this will go smoothly. I am going to get arm lipo this time around so that will make it harder since i supported myself with my arms alot the first time. I am having these surgeries pretty close together(3 months 3 weeks apart) but it is okay because i am healed. I healed very quickly from the first bbl im guessing because of my good health and i was not overweight at all. Everyone couldnt believe the rate at which i was recovering! I went to the mall 2 days after surgery! I have been trying to gain weight like crazy lately and also might get thigh lipo to get extra fat if needed. This time around i am staying at Healing Haven the whole time. I am traveling alone this time and i had such a great previous experience it was a no brainer to stay with jules again. I will be there for 12 days. My surgery is june 25th so excited! I will be taking my previous stage 1 garment and just going to purchase stage 2 when im in DR. I will get a larger size and get it taken in this time so my butt has room to grow. Previously Yilys office put me in a super small faja and even though the torso got loose it was constricting my butt and i actually stiff have indentations where the butt area is cut out(not bad but definitely there) so i refuse to have my butt constricted and molded this time!
BLESSINGS TO EVERYONE WHO IS STARTING THIS JOURNEY AND RECOVERING! It does take about 3 months to feel 98% normal! Totally worth it! Even with a few minor problems i do not regret Yily she is amazing and the way she shaped my waist is to die for! I still cant believe i have this shape! I stopped wearing my faja early(6weeks) only bc i decided to do a round 2 and gaining weight. After this bbl i will keep it on til swelling is gone and use my waist cincher.. Those really work i believe.
I will update after my round 2 with Cabral and check in sometimes!

Dra Yily was so beautiful and very sweet but straight forward! Her and her staff especially Yira were great and Yily is so gifted and talented! she transformed me! The only thing i had a problem with was the communication barrier which caused a small problem in getting across what i wanted, besides that im happy! hopefully my bbl with Cabral will go great as well!
