Well, it's official - I had my pre-op today and I'm scheduled for surgery on April 10, 2015!
I went in thinking I may bail on the MTL, but decided to go through with it after all. It's just so hard to get significant results with a MTL, because you can't put the tension on those incisions like you can with a TT. But the recovery is no easier. In fact, I heard it can be much worse!
I was most concerned about migrating scars and separation of the labia with the MTL. My surgeon reassured me that he had never had that happen with any of his medial thigh lifts, because he securely anchors the incision to the fascia, and because he doesnt put too much tension on the incision. So there wont be as dramatic of a result, but I can "keep my vajay-jay", LOL
Since I have pretty loose and wrinkly skin in my inner thigh, I'm going to do it. Nothing else really gets rid of that... Grrr! Then depending on the results, I may follow up with some InMode/Body Fx (skin tightening) at another PS's office. Or maybe Cellulaze for skin smoothing... Maybe the combo of these will give me more "exciting" results. I'm trying to have realistic expectations...
It sounds like it will be a rough recovery, and I really don't have much help... So I'm going to start prepping now! Ive been typing a list of what to do and get, so I'll finish that up and post it on here for others to read.
Has anyone / will anyone be going through these same procedures? I'd love a recovery buddy!
