Two week pics

Should've added pics!

Two week check in tomorrow

My breasts have definitely begun to soften and drop into more of a natural shape than before. I keep trying to remind myself that they may heal at different rates and that the final results probably aren't 100% visible yet. But I'm definitely happy. I look back at my before pics and it's getting hard to see those old pics as "me." Tomorrow is my two week check-in, at which point I start wearing silicone strips to cover the place where my stitches are instead of bandages. I was told I can wear underwire bras as soon as the breast tenderness wears off, likely around 4-6 weeks. Just in time for the VS semi-annual sale ;) Can't wait!

One week post-op

Okay, so tomorrow is one week post op, but I really wanted to post an update. I did go back to work on Monday, which wasn't really a problem. By Tuesday, I was down to just one pain pill and one Valium to make it through the day. I haven't had either today, for the record, and AT NO POINT post op has my pain level ever been above a 3 on a scale of 10. But every person is different, so don't hate me if the procedure or recovery is more painful for you. My surgical garment is obnoxious, but I actually switched it out for a supportive sports bra as of Wednesday night. Still wearing it 24/7 except to shower. I tried to sleep on my back, but I did wake up on my side more than once,
and I think the swelling is subsiding faster on one side because of that (but this too shall pass).

Still no working out, obvy, or anything that raises the heart rate too much. I'm itching to start working out again, but I know it's way too soon. Although, not gonna lie, I haven't been as careful about not carrying bags and things as I should have been (groceries and such).

And all my worries about people noticing? No one has indicated that they noticed at all! I actually don't think it's all that noticeable. I ended up with 215cc on the left and 300 on the right, which isn't the hugest of differences. But also, it's been snowing and I've been wearing sweaters. But I myself see a huge difference, and it makes me feel happy and confident. I can already see what a positive effect this is going to have on my self esteem and confidence. And I can't wait to see what they look like when more of the swelling has subsided.

Dr. Atagi and her staff have been wonderful! They were prompt about answering most of my emails (I'm THAT person) and questions, and Dr. Atagi even called me at home to check up on me after the surgery. I'm very pleased with the results I can see so far and would definitely recommend her to others.
