“I definitely think power assisted lipo was worth it”

I had liposuction of the abdomen and flanks on March 19, 2009. I was one of the patients where it could go either way, but it was suggested that I have a TT. Being that I wasn't sure as to whether or not I would have more children I opted to go on with the decision to have liposuction despite the fact that my PS warned that I would not have a completely flat abdominal due to the fact that a buldging abdominal muscle.
On the day of the surgery, I was nervous to say the least but still I went through with the procedure. My surgery was done under general anesthesia. I woke up extremely groggy and dizzy. It was a requirement of the facility that I had to urine before being allowed to go home. I was extremely sore, but happy to see that I was in my Compression Garment already. I was able to walk to the pharmacy fill my prescripts and walk to my bf's car. Once I got into the car I was extremely sore and that is when the pain kicked in.
First night, on a scale from (1-10) pain tolerance I would say it was a 6. It wasn't as horrible as I imagined. Once I popped some Perococet I was off to la la land..... When I woke up yes it felt like a hard work out where your muscles have been through more situps then you could tolerate. But I still was able to manuever without help.
To be honest after my surgery the only thing that I had troubling with was putting on my own compression garment after coming out the shower and bending. Other than that I had no issues with anything. Yes I walked a little crippled, but definitely nothing severe as some have described. I also had my Bromelian and Arnica pills handy and took them with my antiobiotics like clockwork.
Bruising/Swelling/Scarring- I was done with my bruising at 2 weeks post op. And as for the swelling I am now 5 weeks post op and I'm still swollen in the lower abs. Its getting much better day by day. I had closed stitch so I have absolutely no scars 5 weeks post op and I'm very happy about that.
Compression Garment- I had the Design Veronique in a stage I and now I'm a size smaller in a Stage II Design Veronique garment I'm still wearing it 24/7 5 weeks.. Can't wait to get out of it.
Overall Satisfaction- I am truly pleased with this surgery I'm so glad that I went through with it. I tried to write this review to answer every question that I ever had when I read some reviews that inspired me to finally go through with this procedure. I hope this helps.

It is officially 3 months now I think I'm seeing the complete effect of liposuction. I'm still experiencing some swelling but nothing too visible to others. Once again I have to say I'm very pleased. This will probably be my last update unless things change even more for me. Best Wishes to everyone who chooses to go on a lipo journey of there own. I have to say liposuction has drastically changed me as a person from self-esteem to just my whole overall attitude and how I feel about myself. As always, if you have any questions feel free.

Wow you look good for only 5 weeks. Most people say it gets better with time so in a couple of months you might get even smaller. you dont really have any scaring, you have great skin. Thanks for being so detail, your posting really helped. Please post more pictures to show progression. how much weight did you say that you lost after getting it done?

I was 140lbs pre-op about a 32 inch waist, now I'm down to a 29 or a tight 28. Honestly I don't know how much I weigh now at 8 weeks because I never weighed myself afterwards. I didn't care if I lost weight or not, I'm only concerned with inches, especially because I know liposuction is not for weightloss although some do have success with weightloss. Well now I'm 8 weeks Post Op. You can still see my muscle poking out but it definitely looks different underneath clothing you wouldn't be able to tell a thing....(for those ppl like me who would've had better results with a FTT but didn't want the scar) I think liposuction made a drastic change in my figure its definitely looks different underneath clothing you wouldn't be able to tell a thing. If I turn to the side in pics you can see the muscle, but my tummy lies flat and thats was my goal :) Oh and btw of course the fat has to redistribute elsewhwere it seems as if it is going to my breasts which definitely is a plus lol... Thanks for the comments I will probably update one more time just so you guys could see the end result.

Hi i am please to say you look extremely good, girl you look great and i know you feel great. i am searching for a dr right now and possibly may go with your MD. I would like for you to send me the information so that i can make an appt to see your Dr. Girl you got me so motivated by the way you look. i just had my first child and he is 1 yrs old.
