Gettting Rid of the Baby Bump: Upper and Lower Abs - Danville, CA

ORIGINAL POST

I have been going back and forth with getting this...

I have been going back and forth with getting this done for some time now... I'm a 34 year old, 5'2', 164 pounds, mother of four. After my first two kids I worked hard to get rid of the baby weight. Just when I was approaching my goal weight, I found out I was pregnant with twins. Not long after the twins were born, I was back to working off the pounds... Now two years later... I am happy with the inches I have worked off every where, except my stomach.

I eat fairly well, workout regularly, make sure to get in my cardio and core work, but it still won't budge. I'm not looking to get back to my 25 year old self, before all the kids. To tell you the truth I like having some curves in the right places. I just want to be able to leave a fitting room without disappointment, because of how my side profile looks. Finally, with the encouragement of my husband to do what makes me happy and knowing that he loves me and my body no matter how I may feel about my own appearance, I made my appointment.

I had my consultation 2 weeks ago and my procedure is scheduled for next Thursday the 10th. My Dr. thinks I am a good candidate for a Tummy Tuck, but I don't want to do a full on surgery that has that much down time. I've got my meds and garments. He is considering doing a double garment, since I am not getting my flanks done and my tummy may be prone to loose skin because of my last pregnancy. So I have a medical grade garment and one from the department store. Now, I am just waiting until the date. I will make sure to post pics, since everyone else photos have been hugely helpful and motivational.

Hello! I had twins too. They are 8 now. I lost all the baby weight but was left with a protruding tummy. I had vaser in November after years or thinking about it! I and am really pleased that I finally did it. My skin is still loose because of the babies but I can live with that. I look better in a swimsuit and I'm not planning to run around buck naked!! Good look with the procedure. XX

So today was the day. I am still on pain meds so this may be a little loopy. All in all, everything went great. The Dr. was able to take out around 3000ccs in just my upper and lower abs. Still to early to tell if it was worth. My pain fact was more than normal, due to scar tissue and muscle separation from my last pregnancy. That is the only reason that, I would say i wouldn't go through it again.
I will say you can see an immediate difference in that area, so that is good. I am also leaking A LOT. Which I guess is also good. Drifting off so i will end this now. Happy healing to all.

Last night was rough, more so because it was hard to hear my kids calling for me and me not being able to help. The Hubby thought it would be best if I confined myself to our room, since a two year old really wouldn't understand why mommy can't pick them up and what not. I have a pretty high tolerance for pain, but this definitely put that to the test. I thought wearing the garment would be the toughest part to handle, but that is actually my saving grace. When I remove it to change my dressings, that is the only time I really feel the pain, but the meds are helping.

I will say i am glad that I did have the extra garment. After the first several hours I already needed to wash the one I came home in. Out of sheer luck I just happened to still have a box of the pads that they give you to wear in the hospital, so I have been using those as dressing. It is catching the majority of the leakage a lot better, but I can't wait to take a shower.

I will try to post my before pictures, so you can at least see where I started from. Take care everyone!
