Despite diet and exercise, I was unhappy with my stomach and flank area. I went to Dr. Khan to see if liposuction would work for me. After taking a look at my body, she told me that a tummy tuck would yield the best results for me. I asked about including liposuction to fix my flank area and she told me that she could take care of that with the tummy tuck as well. I was impressed and happy that she did not try to sell me additional services.
I am five days post op today. Even though I am swollen, I can already see how flat my stomach is and will be. It is absolutely remarkable. Dr. Khan removed 2.5 lbs. which I wasn't expecting. I'd heard from her nurse, Betty, and Jason, the anesthesiologist, that Dr. Khan would take her time. If she did not like the results she was getting, she would slow down and even back-up if necessary. My surgery lasted 3-3.5 hours. I am thrilled that Dr. Khan took her time with me.
Dr. Khan offers an overnight stay with a full tummy tuck. It made the first night really easy for me. The post op nurse, Lindsay, kept me comfortable throughout the evening. I needed a bit more pain medicine when I woke-up, but was up and walking by 9:00PM that night. Dr. Khan was at the surgery center, bright and early to check on me and I was home shortly after. I have almost no bruising from the surgery. My muscles are absolutely tight, but I've walked upright since the first night and have mostly felt like I've had a really hard ab workout. I even plan to go back to work this week.
Dr. Khan and her staff have made this entire process pleasant and as easy as possible. I will not hesitate to recommend friends to Dr. Khan and to return to her for other services.
