Hi Everyone,My name is "Rita".I'm a 40 year old mother of two wonderful kids and I been Marry for 20 years to my wonderful husband. I wont write much today since I'm getting pretty nervous about my procedure schedule for Tuesday on next week. I'm getting a Tummy Tuck and a breast lift without implants.

After I got a my operation not to have kids any more I figure it was time to re-shape myself, lol I will do my best to keep updating everyone with my results. I ask everyone who reads my post to please pray for me and hope everything will be OK. I will be more than happy to answer any questions that you may have.thank you and welcome to my journey

Hi Everyone, Finally, I did it!!!!

My surgery was a success, when I woke up from my surgery I was shivering like a wet Chihuahua, lol so much that it made the pain worst. it lasted almost an hour after I woke up. Doctor said it was the anesthesia wearing off my body.My hubby brought me a stuffed animal and that me me feel a bit better. the pain was horrible!!!

post/op day 4 feeling much better ,Now taking Tylenol twice a day to reduce the pain. Pain has reduce about 30% from day of surgery. I'm feeling alot pressure on my drain hole, lol you know what i mean. i did get a bit of a cough. it hurts much less now when I cough I'm moving around the house and doing a couple things around the house. My hubby gets mad of me doing things, but i tell him its OK.I'm not forcing myself.
I'm eating better and feeling much more energetic.

Photos are courtesy of my dear hubby, lol
I'm planning on updating in three days with photos of me standing up.

thank you everyone for your support

Rita

So I had my first setback today. As I got up to go to the bathroom I accidentally pulled on my drain hose and I felt like I pulled it out about an inch, it hurted like hell
have any of you ladies deal with this problem before and how did you deal with it. I should just leave it alone?
the drain keeps doing its job but I just want to make sure I will be OK
THANK YOU

Not sure about my strech marks, but I will deal with that later.

Hi Rita! I am having a tummy tuck w/lipo of the flanks on the 19th of Sept. I am your age and body type. I can't wait to read your updates! Good luck!

Good luck with your surgery. I just had the same thing done last week. I was a 36D before and now I am a 36C. I am thrilled with my breast lift results. It looks like I had implants even though I didn't. We have similar body shape so hopefully you will have great results as well.

Badbecky, mama, pippa and Angie I want to thank you all for your support and nice comments. I'm glad I'm part of this board. Its really helping me with my anxiety.
I forgot to mentioned I'm 38D. My doctor said I will be 38C after the operation.

Question: How long after a tummy tuck can you get up and walk round without getting hurt? My doctor explain all this to me but its good to hear from actual patients

thank you!!
badbecky80 28 Aug 2011
Well I can tell you from my experience that when you are almost 4 days out you aren't ready to get out of a bed by your self. (just tried that less than an hour ago). But you should start walking the same day, just slowly and for short periods of time. Just make sure you have someone helping you sit and get up.
PippaTN 28 Aug 2011
It will be a good week after your surgery before you will feel like walking. I'm at 1 week and 3 days and I have felt good enough the last 4 days to go out for walks. Still not able to be out for a long time but you get a little more energy each day.

badbecky, pippa and kimmers thank you all for your support and kind words. I really appreciate your help and yes tomorrow is the day. I'm scare as hell, but I'm 100% sure I want to do this. I'm also very exited and happy that I'm finally going to be able to do this operation.I will update as soon as I'm able

Question: My period came today, is that bad?
thank you
Kimmers25 (Community Manager) 29 Aug 2011

You are going to do just beautifully:)   A calm will hit you when you arrive at the hospital.  Can't explain it but you will see.

Don't worry about the period.  They are use to dealing with that.  Can't wait to hear from you after:)

Big hugs coming your way!

Damn drains.   If it is still functioning and showing output I would not worry.  They place those in there pretty deep so you should be fine.

My hubby pulled on one of mine day two post op while giving me a shower.  It hurt like hell but I never had any problems with it.

Rita in Long beach, CA 4 Sep 2011
Oh my God Kimmers, it hurted like hell. It did freaked me out more than the pain , but thank God it's still functioning.
I'm being extra careful since I only have one drain
you look great by the way, thank you
Kimmers25 (Community Manager) 4 Sep 2011

Oh yes it sure does hurt like hell when that happens:(   Hang in there girlie.

badbecky80 4 Sep 2011

June Bug 5 Sep 2011
All I can say is WOW! You look great, your tummy is so flat and your breasts are perfect. You are so right, they look like implants, but they fit you perfectly. I can't wait to watch you as you recover, you are going to look smokin' because you already do!
cottonmomma (RealFriend) 5 Sep 2011
Your boobs look great!! Can't believe those aren't implants!! Rock on Rita!!
