The best item i got

This little black thing is great. I use it in the car and carry it every where i go. I lifts my butt completely off the seat. But it is very hard. So it's not very comfortable. But it does the job. After a while my thighs and legs start to get numb, so I have to get up for a while and then sit back. It is 10$ on Amazon.

4 weeks post op

Friday, 3 days post

We ordered an SUV from Uber to go to my follow up. My appointment was at 2:45, so we left the hotel at 2. We arrived at 3! Yikes!! The hotel is only 15 minutes away. But Friday traffic in LA was insane.

Our Uber driver was the best. He slid the front passenger seat to the very front so I had a lot of space in the back.

My sister gave me this idea of sitting on my knees on the floor of the car with a pillow under my knees, facing and hugging the front seat for support. It's great! But it starts to get uncomfortable after 10-15 minutes. I sat like that for an hour!!

It wasn't horrible. I was already feeling great so I could sit like that for long.

I had full make up on with my hair done. No one could tell I just had surgery three days ago. The only thing was that my walk was so slow and weird. I think I was limping a bit. But it was fine. The hotel staff was amazing. They provided everything we needed and kept asking how I was doing.

In any case, we got to the office and I singed in and we waited in the main waiting area. There were new patients. I hoped they let us wait in an examination room because I didn't want to sit in the waiting room with the pillow. We waited around 10 minutes but it felt longer especially that I was sitting like I described in the car.

So I ended up using my pillow under my things and sitting like that until we were called in.

I met dr hughes and a nurse. He was surprised I was doing well and took credit for that lol. He did a great job. He checked my abdomen for fluid collection and thankfully I had none. I asked him to show me how to check for that because I was leaving the next day and I wanted to keep an eye on it.

I was also concerned about the binder because I read that most girls on here we're wearing it too high. They told me I was wearing it fine. Whew!

I also asked whether my stitches were dissolvable. They were but he asked the nurse to remove them anyway.

He told me that I should wear the binder for three weeks.

He was also so kind as to give me suggestions on how to fly the next day and ordered a dr's note to give the flight attendants.

It was a great visit. I took the note and decided to buy the arnica brand the office sells. I bought that and we went back to the hotel.

That was the only activity I did the whole day but I came back tired. You should really take it slow even if you were feeling fine.

Dr. Hughes is the best. I would not have gone elsewhere. He is very passionate about what he does. He is so compassionate with his patients, very devoted, and by far the most accessible surgeon there is. He will give you the best results you can get. I am very pleased and satisfied with his work. He is the best at what he does yet very down to earth and approachable. He will listen to your concerns and wishes and strive to give you better than what you had asked for. He puts in the physical work that other surgeons will not/cannot put in. Simply put, he is amazing.
