Consultation Phase: Who knew it would be this difficult to get a PS...
So it's been over a week and Dr. Shifrin from Chicago never called or emailed me back. Welp...onto doctor number three Dr. Ortega in Miami, Florida. They say third time is a charm and after seeing the quality of work Dr. Ortega does I think they may be right. I submitted my consultation information and uploaded pictures to his office. Fingers crossed they will actually give me a call back.

INTRODUCTION PHASE:
Hello RS, I am a 34 year old who has always been confident with myself and the person I am. I became a single mother early on in life and have since went on to obtain several degrees and certifications and have achieved or surpassed all career goals I have set for myself. My child now is 16, and will be leaving for college next year : ( I have decided I have worked my butt off (literally) and deserve to do something solely for myself that will fulfill the last goal in my life in which I have not been able to achieve through working out and dieting . I would like to get my BBL done before my child graduates and then take him on a nice vacation to Hawaii or the Caribbean next year to celebrate previous to him leaving for college 2 states away. P.S. I am 5'10'' and weigh approximately 190. I have a large frame and workout several times a week.
CONSULTATION PHASE:
I have been on RealSelf for a couple of months cruising through profiles and reading reviews for BBL's. I settled on Dr. Jimerson in Atlanta after looking at all of the reviews and before and after photos on his site. I called and emailed his office and left messages and never received a call back. Being that I work in the healthcare field I found this discouraging. Oftentimes if an office is not responding to inquiries of new patients they may do the same for existing patients so I decided to give up on pursuing this option.
I began reading reviews for PS in the states that border the state in which I currently reside. I hadn't minded the concept of flying to a surgeon if they were a master at their craft (I do have to live with this body for life after all), but then thought how convenient it would be to get the procedure and then be able to go home. After much research I found Dr. Shifrin in Chicago. I just submitted my consultation request online so hopefully his office will follow through and contact me if not I will call them back on Wednesday.
I have found RS so encouraging and helpful and will trying to highlight my process with everyone so I can be the inspiration/assistance that some of you have been to me. #TeamBBL2015
