Week 3

I made it through my first week back to work. I am definitely tired at the end of the day but am getting better each day. Part of my stomach skin is still very numb and now that my implants are dropping my breast are much more sore. My left is significantly more sore than my right but that one has dropped further. All of my steri strips are off and I've started with the implant massage and vitamin E oil on my incisions. I'm so glad I went with the silicone implants because my boyfriend can't feel the implants when he touches my breast. They have lost some fullness from week one because a lot of the swelling has gone down but I am very happy with their natural appearance and shape even though they still have a lot of dropping to do. I am still very swollen in the abdomen but am still so excited about how I look!

Day 18, back to work

Monday was my first day back at work. I am a doctor myself and don't have a strenuous job, but after a 10 hour day was really swollen and tired by the time I got home. My stomach actually had no pain but my chest was really sore! I am still getting used to the new "girls" and the sides of my chest are sore from being touched by my arms and bumping into things they never hit before (not that I'm complaining!) They hurt in the same way they get sore right before you period. My acid reflux has also not let up at all! I don't know if anyone else has this problem. I'm still sleeping on my wedge pillow because the reflux will wake me up in the middle of the night with the worst taste and burn ever. My throat is still sore from the episode last night and I had to take a Pepcid at midnight just to get back to sleep. My back is feeling much better. The two main areas I swell are my fee/ankles and my upper pubic area. Really attractive, I know! My belly button is still looking a bit gross and I've been using the sterile gauze as directed and changing it every 12 hours. I go back on Friday to have all these lovely steri-strips taken off. It still has all been worth it and I'm glad I did it.

Day 15

I just had my two week post op visit. My belly button is not healing as well as it should. About 2 days ago it started getting crusty and oozing, which it hadn't before. Now I have to clean it with a saline gauze and change it every 12 hrs. Other than that, I am healing nicely. Some stitches came out but I still have the tape across all my incisions. I have finally been able to sleep through the night starting about two days ago and can roll myself over in bed. Still very swollen and tired at the end of the day but it has all been worth it. To anyone going through this, just get to day 10 and you will start to feel better. I am so happy I did this and each day gets easier and better. I will post new pics next week when the tape comes off.

I had done so much research on the mommy makeover and as soon as I met Dr Sorokin, I knew he was the right doctor. He is very straight forward and gives you realistic expectations for your body and is very honest. He is very professional and easy to talk to. His entire staff is amazing which rounds out the experience. They all love what they do and are excited for you which helps the nerves.
