First consult was in Oct 2013 and I finally...

First consult was in Oct 2013 and I finally scheduled my surgery in Nov 2014 so I'm all set to go in 2 days! I'm not all that nervous about the breast augmentation. I had one in 2000 (saline), but got pregnant with my second child soon after (while on BC) and that pregnancy wreaked havoc on my body. My breasts got huge and have deflated quite a bit in 15 yrs so I'm not sure if there's a leak in my implants or just the way my body has changed over time. My stomach is full of stretch marks and my belly button is disfigured...so now that my kids are older, I'm excited to get to a point where I could possibly wear a bikini or even a one piece without embarrassment. :)
I've had a desk job since 2000 contributing to my thighs having a large amount of cellulite so there's another future procedure to consider. My biggest worry is being cared for by my husband. He's sweet and always means well, but knowing his hygiene, weak stomach and cleaning skills...yikes!
Will update post op. Best of luck to each of you! :)

Mission Accomplished

Well, I went into the office 3 days ago (1/22/15) for my mommy makeover procedure. I ate fairly mildly the night before, but still had an anxious stomach the day of surgery and was incredibly nervous. I was impressed with the prep~neat robe, panties, blood clot socks, cozy socks and hair net all provided. The anesthesiologist and nurse were both very sweet and comforting and of course, Dr Nease is just one of the most laid back, nicest people ever. After the pre-op photos (always awkward and horrifying), things moved very quickly. I was laid on the table and didn't even get a chance to know I was going under. I woke up shivering like I was swimming in ice which caused some discomfort in my abdomen, but not too intolerable. First night home was ok, I'm borrowing my grandmother's walker so I use it to go to the restroom and walk around the house a bit. I woke the next day feeling slightly more sore in my back (and my drain port region gives me shooting pains-although I'm very thankful to only have one). I made it into the office just fine the day after op and got to see my new belly for the first time-a "proper" belly button! Sweet! I had a breast augmentation as well. I went from 390 cc saline to 450 cc silicone but I can't really tell what's going on there because of my binding bra, but there's no pain whatsoever because the pockets, etc already exist-basically just an exchange. Yesterday was my worst day (out of it and sleepy) and today, I feel nauseous for the first time but I think it's lack of sleep and sitting here in this recliner. I have quite a few pain pills, but I'm going to try doing the muscle relaxers and Tylenol. I was advised by te nurse that this an help feel like yourself again. I've also been taking my antibiotic and colace (no BMs yet-probably need to drink coffee). I was really hoping to catch up on some tv, but everytime I look up, I'm watching the menu channel-lol. I'm going to attempt a shower/sponge bath today so I'll let you know how that goes. I did undo my binder twice yesterday and applied bacitracin to 3 lipo spots, belly button and drain port. Just praying I can start to be more aware soon. I miss loving on my daughter and my puppies. My hubby's been a saint. It's all definitely an experience, but I'm confident the outcome will be worth it...and most thankful to not be going through it alone. :)

Few more pre-op pics

Sorry the lighting is terrible.
