Loving my nose

It's amazing the confidence you have when you feel like no one is staring at your nose or thinking 'she'd be pretty but. ...' . I'm so happy with my results, all my friends and family thinks it looks great. I love just feeling so at ease with my appearance.

The tape is off! I officially have a new nose.

I was sooo ready to get that tape off! I was totally going crazy with cabin fever. TWO WEEKS at home with FOUR kids under the age of 7. God help us all.

Anyway, the tape removal went very smoothly and quickly and before you know it I'm staring at my new nose. Its still definitely swollen but I gotta say that its waaay better than before.

I'm happy with it, very happy. I'm glad that it looks natural but a teensy weensy part of me wishes I had a tiny button nose. Its crazy b/c I specifically wanted and like a more defined nose like the rest of my family buuuuttt. ... a girl can always dream. I'm sure a button nose on my face probably wouldn't work. I specifically picked Dr. Freeman b/c I really trusted his work and skill and vision and I'm really happy with the result. My family thinks it looks like the nose I should have been born with and they all breathed a collective sigh of relief. They were stressed about the results, I wasn't in the least.

The dissolving stitches in my nose smell bad. I keep slathering myself with perfume and putting on candles around the house.. I had read about this so I'm not concerned.

Dr. Freeman has me doing a massage to help with the edema (water retention) in my nose and face. I'm still pretty swollen in the morning but I think the massaging is helping.

The craziest thing about getting my nose done is the weight it took off my shoulders. I've never felt vain or self-centered but only when my nose was re-done did I realize how much of my day I spent avoiding and dreading people seeing me from the side. All my conversations were face to face, all my interactions were peppered with me trying to adjust the angle people would see me from.

If you're on the fence about getting your nose done I would say go for it! Its made a small but significant change in my daily life and has given me so much more confidence. I'm not worried about aging like an old witch with a hooked nose. I'm not worried about standing in a three way mirror ever again and its an amazing and liberating feeling.

Am I crazy or does Shailene Woodley's nose look similar?

I know I'm still healing & swollen & taped up but. .. I saw this pic of Shailene on Pinterest last night and I think wet might be destined to be nose twins!

What do you think? Or is our simply too early for speculation?
