43 Year Old Mother of 2, In Need of Tummy Tuck and Lipo - Charleston, WV

Well, it's been 18 weeks now since I had my tt with lipo and muscle repair. I have to say I'm still loving my body. I know it still needs some work but I am very happy with my results so far. I am so happy that I did this, I feel so much better not just physically but emotionally as well. My ps is awesome, he did a GREAT job!

I am swollen some still but I love my new body. I had my checkup with my PS today and he released me to start working out. Originally he had told me that he didn't want me to work out at all until 9 weeks po but he said its ok to do whatever I want now.

I went shopping last week and to my surprise I am down from a size 12/14 to a size 8. My PS said when all my swelling is gone I should be in a size 6. I am so happy, I haven't been in a size 6 since I was a teenager.

Well today makes 3 weeks since surgery and I am feeling great! No pain unless I twist or move wrong. I can't believe how fast these weeks have went by. I did get 1 of my drains out yesterday and hopefully I'll get the other one out Monday. Can't wait!! I am able to wear some of my clothes that I wore pre-op, they are loose. I will definitely need to buy some new clothes in a few months after I've healed. Luckily I wear scrubs to work so I'm good with that. I haven't had any drainage since they removed the right drain. I kinda thought it would keep draining at least some but nope it closed right up. I am having a lot of itching across my incision, hoping thats all healing. I still have that ugly tape stuff over the incision so I can't see it yet. My ps said it has to wear off. I just want to rip it off and see what my incision looks like. As for swelling, I've not had too much swelling to my stomach at all. My ps says that its because I wear my compression garment around the clock. He recommends that you wear it for at least 3 months. He said that it keeps the swelling to a minimum and helps shape your body. So I will keep wearing it, I've gotten use to it and it now feels comfortable. I did have a little trouble with my legs and feet swelling but I started wearing compression socks and that took care of that. I bought 2 compression garments before my surgery online at contourMD.com I got them in the clearance section for 35.00. They were normally over 100 so I got a good deal. I am still having trouble eating, I don't get hungry. I have to make myself eat at least once a day. I've been drinking protein smoothies at least once daily and it seems to fill me up.
