Hello ladies, I’m not the kind of person that...
Hello ladies, I’m not the kind of person that writes reviews, but after the treatment I received by the hands of Dr. Luis, I think this is the less that I can do for him.
This have been quite a journey, first of all Dr. Luis is more charming in person than in his emails. Even that he looked so young, you only need to talk to him 5 minutes and realize he has the knowledge and experience like few people has.
Let me start from the beginning, arriving at Puerto Plata, in a third world country, I was expecting a complete different environment that what it is. A really nice airport with people that are always laughing, and always there for you. Of course some of them expecting the “propina” that can be whatever change you have. I stayed in RM Recovery House, I think it’s the only one available or at least is the only one that Dr. Redondo recommends, and they where expecting me at the airport and take me to the recovery House right away.
The recovery house is a really comfortable apartment, where Mama , as we called her (dona charo, the owner), a really lovely woman that lives to serve, received us and right away start showing us all, and explaining what we should do. She speaks perfect English, because she use to live in Texas, and we met both of the nurses that moment. They don’t actually speak English, but they understand everything and help us in everything we needed. Food was good, beds and room good, Air conditioning, cable TV and internet, all working as its suppose to be. If I have to rate the recovery House I would give them 4 stars, because apparently in DR they don’t have 24 Hours energy, so when the light is out, so is the air conditioner, but that’s is OK.
After I left my things and take a well deserved bath, they take me to meet Dr. Luis. Again, what a wonderful and professional young men. He speaks perfect English, so language is not a problem. His assistant, Yamilka, speaks well, but enough to have a conversation. Back to him, We spend 1.5 Hours talking about everything and he explain even more than I needed. A really good person and professional. That moment he take pictures and explain me all that I needed to do next day to prepare for my surgery. Girls Prepare for a Long day I think they do all test available in the Hospital before the surgery. For God sake I thought he didn’t want to do the surgery and was looking for a reason not to. Blood work, X-ray, Sonogram, Mammogram, EKG, Consultation with a cardiologist and with my Anesthesiologist. I know this is for my safety, I just didn’t imagine I needed all that. But it was OK they treat me like a Queen and there are no lines for anything, so I did all tests in the morning and all consultations in the afternoon. After all was done, I get back to Dr. Luis office, and he did all markings and check that everything was OK.
Surgery day. I Was nervous, really nervous, but everything went better than expected. The Hospital, beautiful, everything clean, all personal where amazing and caring. If this is a 3rd world Hospital, then we are doing something wrong here in US, I never felt like they don’t knew what they where doing. 5 Star for the Hospital. After I enter and changed for the surgery, everything went smooth, my anesthesia and surgery where punctual and everything went as it was suppose to be. My anesthesiologist was Dr. Canahuate, I think that is how you write his name, really good.
After the surgery they take me to a private room, that I only wish we have this rooms here in our hospitals, and this was not even a suite. Amazing view and again amazing service I would never go to a different Hospital for any kind of treatments. From now on I’m a centro medico Bournigal patient. Dr. Luis visited me a couple of times and then release me back to the RH.
The rest of my Journey was really good, I have no complains at all. I;m not even going to write about my results. You can see them for yourself in the pictures I posted. I only need to say that He must be a magician. I had exactly what I asked.
