Healing well - so happy! 4 wks post op

Here are photos taken 4 wks post op. I'm so happy with my neat incisions!

Just waiting for the scabs around the dissolvable stitches to come off to make nipple incisions look smoother then it's on to fading the scars.

I have wanted an uplift since I can remember. I...

I have wanted an uplift since I can remember. I don't ever remember having perky boobs and have hid them all my life. Finally at 32 I decided to bite the bullet and get them sorted.

As a notorious yo-yo dieter my bra size fluctuated a lot. I went from a 34E to a 34C (UK sizing), up and down all the time. After stabilising my weight (finally) and settling at 34C I was left with rather empty sacks instead of breasts and knew it was most certainly time to do something about it. I didn't however want massive breasts, I just wanted to be perky and in proportion.

After choosing a well known clinic for my surgery I opted for silicone implants with my mastopexy as I just couldn't get the upper fullness I wanted without and my wide hips needed balancing in my upper body. I had very humble 200cc implants (I was surprised to learn how small they are in comparison to others on here).

I have to say I felt very supported and was so impressed by my clinic in their treatment before and during my procedure - and am just now waiting to heal to see the final result. I couldn't believe how lucky I was to have escaped the pain so many people have described on here. It just felt like I'd had a really intense gym session, and I didn't even take my pain medication (except for 2 tablets 1 day post op just to alleviate the general ache so I could rest easier).

I am 10 days post op now. I had my first 7-day post op appointment on Friday (Monday today) where my bandages were changed. I had a little shock as when they were removed I discovered my incisions were covered in staples! I was not prepared to see this (felt a little bit like Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas), so it did make me a little nervous. My nurse told me my surgeon must have opted to use staples for extra support for the incisions.
I have to say I have not seen anyone else in the forums with staples being used - so would be grateful to hear from anyone who had them? Or hear from any surgeons to authenticate my nurses explanation? I'm also hoping the puckering of the skin around the incisions will go when staples removed (as nurse assured). My nurse told me I will have little dots when the staples are removed (appointment booked for same time this week - 14days post op) but that these dots will disappear completely. I do hope this is the case!

When I saw my breasts 7 days post op (staples galore), I have to say I was a little concerned that the scars under the breast crease may be visible. I know I was lying down, but I'm a little worried that my new breasts may be too small to cover the scars. Also I think that my right breast is noticeably smaller than the left. I'm hoping the implants are yet to settle still and maybe I will have more of a crease when they do, but would welcome opinions!

When changing my bra for a clean one on Friday night after my bandage change I noticed I had bled a little which worried me. I did have a moment where I stupidly pulled on my skinny jeans which may have put them under pressure (doh!), so have sent pics to my nurse this morning to check nothing has gone awry. I am awaiting a call back so will let you know what they say.
