My Hair Transplant Surgery FUT Post-op (Before, after, day1, 3months, +6months Later) Canada

I remember when I started to loose my hair at my early 26 and how self-conscious it made me and stressful as I am 34 and I have decided to make a FUT hair transplant surgery.
The surgery itself was not painful at all, but I had many doubts if I was taking the right choice or not...cost very high 7000$ just for the front area (I will share with you my pictures and a link to my video after 3 months surgery).

When I started to take pictures after my hair transplant surgery FUT, it was just for myself to see the progression and how successful or disappointing the results are going to be. I don't know yet for now, but I hope it'll be up to my expectations. This surgery cost me 7000$.

Yeah! a lot of money but I wanted to do it since so many years. So I made it after a lot of reflection but I am glad I've done it today regardless the results rather than to live the rest of my life regretting of not having done it earlier.

I had many questions in my entourage and friends who wanted to see the progression in video so I made one (from day1 to 3 months) to show to whom want to do the move but are hesitating, hopefully this would be useful for you or them.

Don't forget guys, the most important thing / person in life is yourself! so take care of yourself first, create your own happiness and live your dreams :)

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your journey with us, the added video is just wonderful and will be so helpful for many researching this surgery. I think your results look great so far! How long was your surgery and how many grafts did you have? (If you don't mind adding the amount of grafts as an update so it doesn't get lost in future comments)

Hi Eva, When having this FUT surgery, the doctor has aimed around 2000+/- grafts because he was limited by the donor area (30cmx1cm) taken from the back. Now I am at my 6th month after surgery, and I see already significant results already! So excited to have a groomable hair again!. I will update my review with a new comment and video soon. If anyone has got a question after reviewing my video, please feel free to let me know :)

My hair restoration surgery 6 months later

My hair restoration surgery 6 months later

Before to take to decision to make the hair surgery, I was really hesitant and very sceptical, I did not believe that getting back my hair (which was an impossible dream during many years) was that simple to reach with such simple hair surgery either FUE or FUT it didn't mutter for me.

Now I am 6 months after my hair surgery, and I am just starting to appreciate the results even if they are not final yet, but they are still encouraging and positive!

My front hair line has significantly increased thanks to the surgery and my hair is groomable but not ready to be styled yet. My confidence has grown dramatically and I feel that I am younger and I have back my 17 years look, and people can't believe I am 34y and I'm starting to get praises..

Day after day, month after month, I am more convinced that I have done the right choice: investing in myself! and believe me there is nothing better to do in life when you take care of yourself and live a healthy life on all aspects of life.

I have promised you to show you my videos every 3 months, and here we go! here is my new video 6 months later after the surgery.

Hope you will enjoy it and it would be helpful for the watchers, and if you have any comment or questions, don't hesitate to ask me.

Cheers :)

Good luck to you. I'm 50 now, had it done when I was 27,. After 30 I've been unhappy ever since. Of course the small amount of money I spent then to regain my hair, has cost me my wife and children, since depression gets you no where. You will go back to the doctor until he scars your scalp completely. So good luck,. Hope you don't lose anymore hair. Oh and the scars on your head, they never go away. Then you can get a wig.

Hello John, The results look really good! So, did the procedure cost you $7,000 or $12,000? I noticed you said 7 at the beginning and 12 towards the end. I am in the market for a transplant and looking for feedback on rates. Thanks so much? Keith

Dr. Michel Prévot

The clinic I have chosen was PAI in south shore of Montreal. Overall, the professionalism and the quality of the service were fairly good 8/10. I am satisfied with the surgeon's work: Dr. Michel Prévot (he is not the owner, he has just a contract renewable with the owner of that franchise), however before meeting with him, I met with a "sales" person who convinced me to choose their clinic instead other clinics, and believe me the price asked in the beginning was $12000+taxes for the FUT! Basically I was sold the idea that they can restore my whole scalp in one only surgery which makes them so special in the market. Naive I was, as I didn't make my home work correctly and I was in a kind of rush, I didn't visit other clinics to compare the techniques available and the price related. Now I really regret having chosen PAI in the south shore of Montreal, because what was finally covered was only the front line and not the whole scalp as promised, besides, the scar I have remains big and visible and I need a FUE to cover it. Now I am planning to do a FUE but after 12 months from the first surgery and with another clinic. I don't recommend PAI Montreal / south shore to anyone, they will just take your money with a mediocre result. Aim rather FUE with another clinic...
