Beware Dr. Voskin is not a licensed plastic surgeon!

All after doing the extensive research I discover Dr. Voskin is not a licensed plastic surgeon. I decided to cancel my procedure with him. I was refunded a portion of my deposit. I charged $1000 for clinic cancellation fees. Despite a dispute my bank (Citibank) was not able get the fees refunded.

I've decided to have surgery with Dr. Andrew Jimerson in a month.

Blood Work and 2nd Consultation

I had blood work done at the clinic over the weekend and I also got a chance to have a second consultation with Dr. Voskin. He advised me not to lose anymore weight before the procedure because my skin may be loose after the surgery. I don't understand the logic behind his statement, however I'm going to take his advise or at least try. I've adapted a healthy relationship with exercise I can't steer away from it overnight, I plan to increase my calorie intake to off set weight lose. I'm way over my ideal IBM, but put off losing weight until after surgery. While at the office I spoke with a patient coordinator, Maddy, she made me feel comfortable and confident that I've made the right decision by choosing Dr. Voskin. She also informed me if I'm not pleased with the results Dr. V offers a complimentary revision. That really put mind at ease. I have a few weeks left to go, can't wait to get it over with.

1st Consultation review - June 3rd

I had a consultation a few months ago. I saw the doctor hours after our scheduled time. Despite his lateness he was very informative and had great bedside manners. I was told both procedures would cost $7,500, I made a down payment of $3000. After reading Dr.Voskin's reviews on this forum I'm beginning to question if I made the right decision. I am concerned because a few people aren't happy with their results. And I have to be honest I'm not impressed with their results either. However, my friend is happy with her results. Her only concern is there is some residual loose skin on her stomach. Which is no fault of the doctor it's just a side effect of liposuction for some people.I've made some lifestyle changes in hopes of optimizing my post-surgery results. I do cardio at least 5 times a week for about 2 hours each day. My diet is improving, I limit carbs, meat and salt. Since the consultation I've lost roughly 20 lbs. My goal is lost 30-35 before the first procedure. I plan to resume working out after as soon as my body allows.  My first procedure for July 18th, 2017, and the second on August 15. I will update accordingly
