12 weeks

I’m now 12 weeks po & I’m LOVING my new boobs. Not really having pain anymore. I am back to working out 5-6 days a week. There are still some upper body exercises I can’t do & jumping still feels uncomfortable even when I wear 2 sports bras. Been using the scar therapy gel the surgeon recommended & it seems to be working okay I guess but it makes my nipples almost crusty which is kind of gross.
There are some things that are not “perfect” but when I go back & look at my before pictures I am just so grateful for the beautiful result that my surgeon was able to give me.I seriously could not be happier!

Goodbye Lopsided Pancake Boobs!

I have wanted breast augmentation since I was a teenager. Giving birth & breastfeeding 2 kids certainly didn’t make matters any better. Finally at 41 years old I decided it was time.
I had a couple of consultations with different surgeons that were recommended to me by family & friends but decided to go with Dr. Turowski. While the other surgeon had talked about placing 2 different size implants to correct the unevenness, Dr. Turowski said he would do a reduction on my larger breast while doing the lift so that he could place 2 of the same size implants. He said he prefers to do it this way so that over time when they start to sag they will do so at the same rate. If 2 different size implants are placed the heavier one will sag faster causing unevenness again. This made total sense to me & I was sold!
My hardest decision was size. I am 4’10” & 110 lbs so pretty petite & I didn’t want anything too large but I also didn’t want to come out wishing I would have gone bigger like so many women say in their stories on here. I went back & forth between 275cc & 350cc. Ultimately, I decided to go with Mentor 325 moderate plus. I’m super happy with them but think I may have been a teensy bit more happy if I went with the 350s.
My surgery was scheduled on 11/16/21 & I’m now just over 8 weeks post-op. As for the healing process, it wasn’t as nearly as bad as I expected. When I went in for my post-op appointment the day after surgery the nurse told me that I was moving like someone who was already 2 weeks out. I truly believe that this is because I am a pretty fit person. I workout 5-6 days a week & I have good core strength. I think the core strength is key because I didn’t have to use my upper body at all when sitting up or standing.
I did have some issues with spitting stitches but the office always got me in right away to have them taken care of.
I still don’t have full sensation back in my nipples but have heard that can take awhile. I started using some scar gel last week but honestly the scars don’t bother me (or my husband) nearly as much as I thought they would.
All in all I’m over the moon happy & my only regret is that I didn’t make the decision to do this much sooner!
