I went through with it!

I got my BA this last Thurs. (Sept. 13, 18). It was a great experience and I can't wait to see the final position of my new breasts. The first day was a bit of a blur. We got to the surgery center really early. There was no waiting around. They hooked me up to everything, wheeled me in to the surgery room, and the next thing I know, we're leaving to come home. I was numbed up pretty much all day. It started wearing off that evening and the swelling kicked in, so I decided to take one of the prescription hydrocodone pills to try to sleep. While they work for pain, when they wear off, boy do they wear off! So, I took 2 during the night, but my sleep was still pitiful.
The next morning was my follow up. It was a good appointment. They told me I was doing everything right - especially the massaging part. They say this is a crucial step in the recovery process, so I'm being diligent about it. After the appointment, my husband and I ran around doing some shopping and had lunch. I was still feeling pretty rough though, so we came home and I rested the rest of the day. I ditched the hydrocodone and took my prescription Valium instead. What a world of difference! I slept great that night and felt like a new person on Sat. We ended up going to a local hangout to watch football/baseball and our friends showed up to be with us. It was so great seeing all of them and showing their support. Skip to today and I'm back at work. I'm feeling great. There's still swelling and some bruising/pain, but I'm excited about everything and think they look pretty good at this point. I am numb around the bottom of my breasts and my nipples.... I sure hope that goes away soon. Will post again soon!

Mid-life Crisis

Surgery on Sept 13, 2018. I’ve been thinking about this for years. Turning 50 in November and decided I needed a midlife crisis...lol... The husband is all in (sort of) and I’m crazy nervous. Will post after pics...
