It seems like for the most part, those who take a moment to share their experisnces, in any context, feel compelled to do so after having had either a very poor or outstandingly amazing experience. Mine happens to be the latter. I have had a few cosmetic procedures in the past (liposuction and breast augmentation) both of which were lackluster and in fact disappointmting experiences for me. Although interested in a completely new procedure (butt augmentation), I knew that addressing the issues left behind from previous surgeons' work at the same time would make good sense. Albeit ambitious, I decided to go for a revision of my breast augmentation (contracture and just general ugliness/wanting a bigger size), revision of irregularities on my abdomen (from past liposuction), and the latest addition ( NO previous work done) of gluteal augmentation with implants. Where does one even begin when past experiences have been disappointing? On one hand, a person can't help but lose some of their faith in the potential of cosmentic interventions to result in positive results, and on the other, becasuse he/she is so disappointmeed with experiences/results past, there is a desperation for improvement...for a less severe letdown at the very least. Upon review of countless sites and a few conversations with friends, I decided to follow my gutt and proceed with Dr. Kenneth Hughes. His site actually happened to be among the very first ones I visited but I made myself go through many many more, confident that the chances of fidning THE one so early on in the research process were slim. Well, I was wrong because all that further doctor-searching did was delay my ultimately having my procedures done! As an out of town patient, my consultation(s) with Dr. Hughes were all conducted online (via e-mail). I sent pictures and he offered his honest opinions and gave me a good sense of what was and wasn't possible for me. *Note: despite his insanely busy schedule, Dr. Hughes'promptness and receptiveness to patients' questions and concerns is quite literally unbelieveable. I'm very much "that person" who asks a billion different questions, and never ONCE was I met with any sense of fruistation, shortnessor lack of patience..wow.

After locking in a procedure date with his surgery coordinator, I was set. Before I knew it, I was headed down to southern California (los angeles) for my pre-op appointmenment 1/5/15 a day before my procedure scheduled for the 6th. I was THRILLED to find that all of the outstanding revious upon which my decision to proceed with Dr. Hughes were based were the ABSOLUTE TRUTH!! HE IS JUST AS AWESOME IN PERSON! Having had encounters with many surgeons, I can say with the utmost confidence that Dr. Hughes' "bedside manner" is the best. His knowledge and clear desire to produce the best outcomes possible are unparalleled as far as I (and mannnny others) am concerned. I had my last minute questions answered, and went to sleep that night before surgery more confident than eveer about my decision.

On the day of surgery, I met with Dr. Hughes again to go over what was soon going to go down and before I knew it, I was in my bed, back at my hotel room in total disbelief. It really did go down THAT simply. Not having ever been under general anesthesia as my procedures past were done with conscious sedation (just IV medicatios), I was also fearful of "going under". Just as amazing as Dr. Hughes was the kind anesthesiologist he works worth. I was anxious that day so may not be recalling correctly but I think his name was Dr. May (???) He assured me that I was in good hands and encouraged me to think of a favorite place and just relax. I remember closing my eyes as he said those words and then waking up in bandages. I just couldn't believe it was all already done.

Here I am now at just about a week after my procedrures and I COULND'T BE HAPPIER! Dr. Hughes fixed my ugly breast augmentation AND the lumps on my stomach! Fearful of a lift because of the scars that come along with one, I encouraged Dr. Hughes to use his discretion during surgery itself and that I would be prepared to wake up having undergone one. Let's just say that I did need the lift, did look under the bandages, and I cannot believe how NOT SCARY and STUNNING t he results are. The even more amazing thing is the fact that with time, stitches dissolve, scars form, and improve with time but EVEN with the bloody stitches right in front of me, the results are absolutey amazzzzzing!!! as for the abdominal revision, I couldn't be happier with that either..no more dents after a carfefully excecuted fat transfer to my divits!!!!! now, regarding the gluteal implants of which I was quite afraid given the lack of resources out there relative to other cosmetic procedures, again, could NOT be happier with them either! I looked in the mirror as I lowered my compression garment to pee the day after surgery and could not believe that I now have a rump! I had NOTHING before and now have a shapely, natural looking, well-proportioned butt for my body! Ignoratnt to the manner in which specific sized implants translate in different people, I provided Dr. Hughes with "wish" pictures to give him a sense of what I was after and I am so so so so so relieved and happy to say that this is a wish, one of the few, that's been granted in my life. Looking back on my experience (now allll of one week later) I now know first hand that Dr. Hughes knows how to translate requests into results. There was nothing "straightforward" about any of my procedures, and yet he created results for me that I didn't think possible under even the least complicated of circumstances. IF and only IF you are after outstanding credentials, care, and results, it'd behoove you to check out the beautiful work of Dr. Hughes (great before/after pics on his site) and you might become one of those beautiful "after" pictures too!! 1,000/10!!
