Went to my consultation yesterday and left rather disappointed.
My appointment was at 1 pm and I arrive 10 minutes prior, and started to fill out the intake paperwork, however the 1:30 appointment must have arrive 45+ minutes early, so they decided to give her my appointment slot. (They were whispering rather loudly about letting her go in before me)
I have never been to an office that would do such a thing. It is very unprofessional. I'm not quite sure what the point of the appointment is if they aren't going to honor it.
So needless to say I was stuck sitting around waiting for 30 minutes to be seen. Which was very nerve wracking and caused a great deal of stress and anxiety for me. It didn't set the best tone for a potential patient who is already nervous enough because they are going to be unclothed and showing strangers one of their biggest insecurities. The receptionist weren't at all apologetic about the wait time.
I went in talked a minute about me having 2 children and having gained and lost 65 lbs with each pregnancy and that was about it. I was then measured, told I needed a lift with the augmentation and provided a sizer to try on.
The only information the Dr talked about and provided was that the surgery was performed at the Waterford Surgical center and that it would last 3 hours and he talked about the bands I would wear post surgery. He was about to leave the room and asked if I had questions and I most definitely did. I had 31. I only asked 20 and he did answer them but I felt as if he tiptoed around some answers. Especially about his complication and or re operation and the most common type. He said it was about 1 every 2 years, which seemed odd because someone on real self had posted her story and recently had a revision due to error. He seemed surprised by most of the questions like he had never had a patient be so thorough. He was afraid to give me a worst case scenario story.
Maybe my expectations were too high?

Overall I left fairly dissapointed and wished I would have had my husband with me to be an advocate on my behalf. What was even more dissapointing is that I had narrowed down many surgeons to just a few and I was hoping he would have been a good match, since the photos he has online of his work is so good compared to many others.
