So I researched the procedure and instantly fell in love with Dr Pleatman. I read his reviews throughly. (Close to 400!) I live in NJ and he was all the way out in Michigan, which was okay because I have a house there as well. So I reached out to him and he immediately responded. I was impressed. He called me and we spoke and I did get that "not such a talkative" vibe that everyone mentioned. Lol every review I had read said that he doesn't have the best attitude. At first I thought this would be a problem because every doctor I've ever had (even dentist) were talkative and that's how it made me feel at ease. I love talking and I love communicating. If a doctor doesn't talk with me or laugh or try to make some type of joke they scare me. Seriously. And I instantly do not trust them. (Stupid, I know. But true) But I didn't mind it this time because it was his skills that made me seek him out. So I contacted him and within a month had the procedure. I met him the day before the procedure. From the instant I met him I realized, those other reviews talking about his personality were all crap. He was super nice! Even though people mentioned he wasn't very talkative every reviewer stated they a still loved him either way. But He talked and he laughed with me. I prepared myself to be as serious as possible (which I am not) just because I thought that is how he will be. I don't know what happened with others but all I can say is he was charming. Even the day after surgery he came in and made a joke. "Are you still getting your beauty sleep?" Something like that. Lol and I wanted to laugh but I was in so much pain from that hospital bed no joke in the world would've made me laugh. So overall, I loved him. He is amazing. He answers every single email I send him. Which is A LOT. His staff is super nice and amazing. Everything went smoothly and efficiently. If I was any closer I would stop by everytime I had a problem. Lol but for now I will follow up at the 1-2 month mark just because I am preparing for law school. He has a great follow up plan it's usually for 2 yrs. but since I'm from out of state I'm going to try my best to aim for every 3 months. Just to see my progress. If anyone is considering getting sleeved, this is your man. Super affordable, friendly staff, efficient, answers ALL emails (fast), has a great personality (which I look for A lot in a doctor) I could go on but who has time to read all this. Lol he's awesome. Thank you for keeping me alive doc, I would trust you in a heartbeat all over again :)
