I wanted to show the only treatments I've used since my surgery - these are what my Doc recommended. The Micropore tape was used from week 1 to 4 week check up - at the 4 week check up I was given the BioCoreum to apply thinly to the incisions twice a day.

The healing is going GREAT! I'm very pleased with my results. I've been asked by a few people how much was removed and what exactly was done. First of all I was a 34DD before, I haven't bought any new bras yet I'm still waiting for the entire healing process to be done before I do. I wear an inexpensive cotton stretch bra (I lovingly call it my training bra :-)). The surgeon removed 301 grams from the left and 340 grams from the right, a total of almost 2 lbs. I do find that I want to stand up straighter, rather then feeling like I'm being pulled forward from the weight I was carrying.
I will say - my surgeon was excellent! I've followed his instructions to a T - no more, no less. I hope this helps.

I can't get over how perfectly you have been healing. I have had so many not uncommon complications and am also at 5 weeks post op. My left nipple is numb. My right hypersensitive. I still have discoloration around much of my left breast. I had tissue necrosis at the t junction below my right breast that is still trying to heal and a smaller opening at the same location on my left that is also still trying to close completely and heal. My shape looks fantastic and I'm so grateful to have the reduced weight off my chest as well. I'm 54 and healthy and not diabetic of a smoker so not sure why I have had all these issues :( Even still I'm just over the moon with my results ha ha! You look fantastic, congratulations!

Thank you! I'm sorry you're having so many problems, before I had mine done I was so worried about the healing process. I had never had surgery or broken any bones..nothing, I had no idea how I would heal. I did drink a lot of pineapple juice and still do. Did your Dr recommend using the Micropore tape and then BioCorneum?

I had never had surgery before either or broken bones but I assumed I would heal in the average category. You have healed in the exceptional category! I first dressed my wounds with calcium alginate dressing changing daily for two weeks and they still are not closed completely. Now I am using what is called Mepilex Ag dressing. This should do it. My left nipple had a spasm and blanched during surgery so they had to back off and not take any more out. The doctor thinks that event may have put my nerve to sleep for a while and he thinks it will wake up again (I hope) and we should know within the next three months. I have not heard of the products you mention. Are they for wound healing? I'm 54, 5'2", 114lb, and was a 32DD and now a 32C I think....

It sounds as though you had more complications then I did! I hope your healing continues to improve! The tape and the gel were both given to me by my doctor at my follow-ups. I truly believe my doctor did an amazing job.

No, I didn't - he can afford to by his own now ;-) But I'll probably be a repeat customer since he did such a good job!

I am getting ready to go out shopping today - today is the first day I've felt pretty comfortable. I have minimal swelling and bruising. I have not taken any pain meds today. My doctor has said to just keep Micropore paper tape on the incisions and that's it. I go back to see him in 2 1/2 weeks for a follow-up. All of my stitches are dissolvable. I'm super happy with the results so far!

I'm the same size and age. My MD said a lift was all that is necessary with a DD. Did you discuss it with yours? Your results look great!

A llift only would not relieve the shoulder pain which was being caused by the weight. I'm very happy with the decision, any future weight gain could cause the breast to change in the future. I would ask your doctor about that.
