I will start by saying that I had a combined...
I will start by saying that I had a combined procedure. I had a breast Lift and Tummy Tuck. In the last year I have lost 12 kilo's. As my body transformed, I felt a change from muscle to fat ratio. My breasts went south and I had loose skin and some muscle separation in my tummy (from pregnancy of course). Even though I achieved the body that I new I could have, I didn't feel quite there yet.
I am now almost two weeks post op, and cannot thank Dr Eddy Dona enough. I was concerned about the tummy tuck and thought the pain here would be worse, only to find that I honestly really only feel uncomfortable. My breasts were sore for about 8 days and honestly, It has eased off completely. Stopped all my pain killers 8 days post op.
I am not sure if this is because I have been taking 2 chewable vitamin C tablets before each main meal, as I feel this recommendation has in fact, aided in wound healing. By bruising is almost completely gone. I am day 11 post op and walking upright completely.
I will say that it has been uncomfortable sleeping. I have had a mountain of pillows and some how managed to sleep sitting upright. Also, I found my throat became a little dry from post op, started to cough a little, not ideal, good idea to have some throat lozenges to avoid this from creating a cough.
All in all, I still have a little swelling in tummy and my breasts have started to take shape. I suppose I went into this surgery with a very realistic approach as to my expectations. I am not a model, nor do I wish to be one. I unfortunately did not have the elasticity in my skin for it to re-position itself naturally.
So I went in for a what I like to call, a refurb.
I am pleased with the results so far. I was afraid to have this surgery for so long. as having a low platelet count deterred me.
I have Dr Dona and his team to thank for putting my mind and ease and being well aware of this prior to surgery. Very caring, professional and the attention to detail from the beginning to end, made my experience (funnily enough), enjoyable.
Don't wait, just do it.
