Finally Sleeved
So first of all, I would like to apologize for doing such a terrible job at keeping my journey updated. To make a long story short, after getting a clearance from my cardiologist last June, I didn't get a surgery date until November.In August I complained to my PCP that I always felt fatigue and tired all the time, so she sent me to have a sleep study. Even though the center I went through didn't require it ,I did the study just in case so it wouldn't be anymore delays. December 30th I weighed in at 31. My liquid diet started January 6th. I must admit that I was terrified of not being able to give up food and only be on liquids, I did a amazing job if I must say so myself. My surgery was January 19th , so I went to the center to have them weigh me before my big day , and I was down 13 pounds!!!
Forced to change eating habits early
Well I had a meeting with the dietitian Tuesday and she just asked questions about my eating habits and what I drink. To make a long story short she said I don't eat enough and she wants me to start eating breakfast . She also wants me to eat more protein and gave me great options, so i picked up some Greek yogurts and I got some protein bars and optifast shakes that they sell at the office. Her goal is for me to format the habits that I'll have to adapt to after being sleeved and so far it's going very well! !
