3 weeks today

3 weeks today and I'm feeling the gym itch. I walked 3/4 of a mile and received some swelling but not to bad. Trying not to over do it but I've got to get these legs and arms toned!!

2 weeks

thats what it took. 2 weeks to feel human again!! I've put on make up today, straightened my hair, and ready for a day date with my husband!! Mine you I haven't been swallowing in sorrow for the past 14 days but today I feel like me again, and it's great. And even better without my flap I have to cover with clothes. Never realized how much I used to wear clothes OVER the flap. Cloths look and feel completely different
Been off pain meds for 3 days now with exception of ibuprofen when needed. Which now leaves me on the toliet but purging out the meds and prepping for a new heathy lifestyle is an exciting change I'm looking forward too!

Worst day yet

so yesterday, day 10, was the worst. They took out the cath on Monday. They made me start "re-training" my bladder. What that means is you have to hold your pee for two hour intervals for 48 hours then move it to 3 hour intervals. I couldn't hold it for more than an hour. And 24 hours into it, it started burning really bad. Well lucky me, my urologist wasn't in Wednesday (insert sarcasm) but fortunately he called ahead to the assessment center and told them we were coming. The nurse said I was so swollen down there that she could even find me pee hole to r e-cath me for a urine sample. They made me bleed by just trying. Long my story short, they began to treat me like it was a UTI. So after we left hospital, I was able to go see my plastic surgeon and get out my 2nd drain!! Wahoooo!!
And then later that night, a had a random round of projectile vomiting. Like couldn't make it to toliet bc husband was changing my son on the floor and so it basically flew onto the shower curtain. Awful awful day yesterday.
But it's a new day!! Slept on the sofa as opposed to the recliner. Baby steps!!
