Feeling Disapointed...

So, I think I have come down from the post surgery buzz and after fighting off an infection I am almost fully healed.
I had my BR in Bangkok with Dr Rungkit and I have absolutely loved the results. I am really enjoying wearing new clothes and checking myself out BUT...
I have not yet tried on any new bras yet, I am still wearing my compression bra. Last night I decided to try on some old bras I bought without trying on that were always too small for me and they are DD. They fit perfectly.
Pre surgery I discussed my desires with my surgeon and he told me he could make me a C cup. I was really shocked by fitting into the DD last night and have had a little moment of thinking 'oh my god, all that money & I am two sizes larger than I wanted to be!"
I am still a tiny bit swollen but I really don't think I will get much smaller than a D. At this point I am trying to tell myself that these feelings are all in my head and that its all about the bra size, because I am pretty happy with the look. Also, my fiancé works in the mines and was on night shift last night so I felt very alone when I tried the bra on and had my emotional moment.

Anyone else feel a little down about this kind of thing? How do I get past this?

Infection :(

Well, I thought my luck must have been too good to be true!

My recovery has been fabulous but from day one my left incision at the T has been quite leaky and is taking a bit longer to heal than the right. My surgeon gave me an antibiotic cream to apply to all my incisions but the left T has just not healed as well.

I have noticed that my incision on the right is just above the crease and has healed beautifully but the left incision is right on the crease and I wonder whether my compression bra rubs along the incision and that might be causing the delay in healing.

As I had my surgery in Thailand I don't have the option of popping into see my surgeon. I might just quickly add that the infection on my incision has nothing to do with the fact I had surgery in Bangkok, it is just part of the healing process and I would return to Bangkok for surgery in a heart beat!

I popped into the local hospital to have a nurse clean and dress the incision and then visited my GP (which I should have done days ago but I have been avoiding antibiotics). The GP was not concerned at all and prescribed only a cream called Bactroban. I am currently using it three times a day and I am much happier with that than antibiotics. I only started the cream yesterday so hopefully soon I start to see some results.

Thankfully the infection is very small and does not cause me any pain at all! This may be because I still have a little bit of numbness along the bottom of both breasts but I am not bothered by that at all.

Apart from that, 3 weeks post op I am over the moon with my progression! My only complaint is that I am ready to start lifting! I work in child care and really miss picking up the children for cuddles!! I have to resist for just a bit longer!

Will upload some more photos soon!

Just over 2 weeks post op!

Well I am back to Australia and back to work this week! Just doing half days as I am quit tired from the jet lag and surgery. Healing quite well, the left side is a little slower, just a bit of leaking but am very happy with my progress :)

I am so very happy with the changes to my body this surgery has made. I have just loved buying new clothes that I never would have been able to wear before! Bring on the Aussie summer and bikinis!!
