It was only a few months ago that I was sitting here in your position,
listening carefully to all the pros and cons of having surgery abroad.
I had been looking to do some procedures for some time and decided to go
down the track firstly getting quotations from surgeons in Melbourne, first
consults quotation came back and I neatly chocked its was around 10k just
for breast lift, no implant and not including the hospital or anesthetist
so add another 6k on-top of that.
I had heard of people going overseas to Thailand to do surgery and thought
I’d look into it too, of course Google was consulted and the first name that
came up was destination beauty, I never go to the second page to search
further if you not on the first page you're not worthy.
So I contacted them via email and Prame responded it was a seamless
exercise I took pictures of all the parts I wanted surgery on - top and
bottom eyelid surgery.
Breast lift and augmentation, and tummy tuck and lipo suction, teeth
whitening and fillings.
The quote came back in a package which was a quarter of the cost Aus had
provided for the entire package with all the above included was around
20k.
Then I was invited to the seminar where I met the Doc who confirmed that
what I wanted to do was actually possible and that my expectations were
realistic.
I went away very happy with the information provided, yet I wanted more, so
I consulted google again.
I researched the hospital and what accreditations they had: ISO 1009 and
2008 when means they are internationally accredited and conform to
international standards, this was a big factor for me as well as it was a
private hospital which means it’s a business so they are there to make money
and in order to make money they cannot have bad service as shareholders
want a return.
I also read and watched videos not only on the hospital but on the
procedures too so I could clearly understand what the surgery involves and
what the pain level may be.
So I was fully prepared.
I must say that I have never experienced such efficient service before the
staff are friendly, concise and extremely gentle I was very well looked
after and the procedures were explained well, bearing in mind I had a
million and 1 questions for the Dr and he was more than happy to answer.
I was well aware that it was going to hurt, now I have had two Cesar’s and a
hysterectomy before so I know my pain threshold, I will say if you have
never had surgery before be ready for pain cos it does hurt and no amount of
pain killers will get rid of it.
But over all my experience was exceptionally positive, from the moment I
contacted them up until the day I left to come back home.
If and when I want to do anything else I will be using destination beauty
again.
