After 2 consults, I've decided to have a panniculectomy with lipo to abdomen, waist, back and upper buttocks. The first PS suggested a full TT with no lipo because he thought my love handles were great..NOT. His statement made my decision much easier. So I'm scheduled now with the 2nd PS! My emotions are all over the place...I'm nervous, anxious, and scared to death, if that makes sense. Anyways, I'm glad I found this site and can't wait to share my journey.

Hello: a Pannieculectomy is a large reconstructive surgery and you need to pay close attention to your intuition. It is normal to feel nervous but if you trust your PS he will do the best for you. My only suggestion would be to discuss in detail your expectations and make sure the doctor can reach them. Sometimes patients needs additional surgeries to reach the final results depending on the extent of the work. You need to understand the risks and complications as well. I wish you the best . Sincerely Dr. Gonzalez Cepeda, PS in Cancun Mexico

Hi there, welcome and thanks for sharing your journey with us!

Are you having surgery because you lost weight, or just to get rid of some excess skin and fat pockets?

yes i have lost 120 pounds with gastric surgery and have kept it off for the last 12 years. years ago tried to get it approved thru blue cross and was denied. but over time i developed rashes and with age it began to drop more with exercise and even swaying when i walk has become so depressing my primary doctor called it body morphology and said i will write your insurance and refer you to a plastic surgeon
