5 Days Post-Op

Day 1 and Day 2 were painful but tolerable..you definitely have to stay on top of your meds around the clock and keep walking at least every 2 hours...don't worry you'll get to sleep but walking is crucial in the healing process. Day 3 was the worst for me so far..at this point im use to the pain and can deal with it..but 5am in the morning I woke up with crazy diarrhea. I'm sorry I know that's (tmi) but I have to tell you because I was not expecting it..and I know antibiotics will make that happen to you. So I was taking antibiotics, probiotic vitamins, plus a stool softener and I guess that did it. It was horrible but my husband was such a champ. He helped me through everything thank God. Anyway that lasted all day and I was wiped out. I didn't even take any meds that day I was so done I just wanted to sleep. Day 4 I just took it easy all day..took my meds, slept, drank plenty of fluids. Now I'm at day 5 and so far my pain has been from the liposuction, now I'm starting to feel pain around my wound. So far no muscle repair pain, unless I laugh. So I feel a little pain at the cut of my wound but nothing serious yet.

1 Day Post-OP

Well I guess the anesthesia wore off because today I'm feeling it, im sore in all the areas that they did lipo. Surprisingly enough I haven't felt any pain due to the muscle repair. My appetite is ok, I had chicken and vegetable soup last night and it was great..thank God for my husband!! Definitely have a person with you that will care for you around the clock, stay on top of your meds, walk to keep from getting blood clots, and sleep. Take care.

Day of Treatment

Yes!! Its finally done!! Last night I couldn't sleep..cleaning, cooking for the family, and getting things together kept me busy but my mind was busy as well. I was so tired and still couldn't sleep. Anyway I slept about 3 hours my report time was 7am so me and my husband were up by 6am! Anyway I got marked up, spoke to my doc (who I love by the way) I was super nervous until he walked in. So after that the nurse took me in the operating room and washed my whole body which I found to be fabulous. Then I got on the operating table, got hooked up to everything and the next thing I knew they were waking me up in recovery. The nurses got me dressed and wheeled me out to my husband's car and now I'm home. When I first got home I was more groggy and weak than in pain. I went took my meds, drank some water and went to sleep for about 2 hours. I felt good enough to walk to the bathroom once I woke up and that wore me out a little bit by the time I walked back to my chair, recliner by the way and please get a chair if you can. I rented mine from rent-a-center and its great! Even the lady at the store said that when she had her surgery she wish she thought of the recliner because it was so miserable to have to get in and out of the bed. So anyway I been walking every 1-2 hours depending on how tired I am. The fluid fills up the drains more when you walk and my doctor said that's a good thing. Stay on top of your meds and drink plenty of water...Happy Healing ladies
