Update. Suture Removal.
I had my sutures removed from the donor area a couple of days ago & Dr. Anderson says I'm recovering & healing really well. I feel great & feel absolutely no pain. The donor area can feel a little tender & itchy at times, but it's very mild & nothing I can't handle. I began applying Vaseline to the donor area to help with the healing process. Surprisingly, the recipient area feels completely normal.
I'll be having an follow up appointment with Dr. Anderson in the next few months to check on my progress. So for now, I can relax & resume most normal activities & just play the waiting game,lol.
Now that It's been 2 weeks since my procedure, I can honestly say that the whole process went so much smoother than I had anticipated. It's funny now, when I think back to how nervous I was the days leading up to my surgery, and now I feel like I could do it all over again tomorrow,lol. I can only speak from my own experience, but I would tell anyone considering hair restoration surgery that it's definitely not as frightening as you might think. I had a great experience & a great surgeon with a great staff! I'm confident I'll have great results as well. No regrets.

As I write this review, it has been nearly 48 hours post-op. My hair loss began in my mid twenties & I have done my fair share of research over the years. I'm told I was somewhere between a Norwood category 4-4a. I had a terrific consultation with Dr. Anderson & Sara. They answered all my questions & I never felt pressured about anything. I felt very confident that Dr. Anderson was the best choice for me & for what I hoped to accomplish. I did tend to get a bit jittery a few days before the procedure (which is understandable), but never to the point of having second thoughts.
As far as the procedure itself, I can now honestly say it could not have gone smoother. Dr. Anderson & his staff are on top of their game. He talked me through every step of the procedure, which lasted around 7 hours. The only real pain to speak of was the anesthesia to the donor area & scalp (which was minor & lasted mere seconds).I was awake for the first few hours until the the sedatives kicked in. I dosed off a couple of times but came to for the last couple of hours. The time really did seem to fly by.
So far my recovery has been going well. They supplied me with easy to follow instructions concerning medications, cleansing & proper rest. Two days in and I can honestly say I feel almost no pain. More of a minor nuisance than real pain. The donor area seems to be healing nicely and only minor swelling in the recipient area so far.
I'm looking forward to seeing how my new hair grows in over these next few months. And I would absolutely recommend a consultation with Dr. Anderson if you're considering hair restoration as an option. I will most definitely be returning to Dr. Anderson to discuss future procedures if/when needed. : )

Dr. Ken Anderson & his staff were an absolute pleasure. I was a bit nervous before my procedure but they really knew how to make me feel at ease. Everyone was extremely friendly. Dr. Anderson was a true professional in my opinion. He talked me through every step of the procedure.
